Allstate Insurance: South Edmonton Common Agency

Really disappointed in this company overall. Please don’t send your customers back OUR money a month before renewal just to turn around and up our policy. It’s such poor taste. When the provincial government removed the insurance caps causing all insurance companies to skyrocket their prices, I called Allstate directly and was told “at least we didn’t increase our prices as high as some” should be put in jail.

All-State as an insurance company is as shady as the rest of them. I have had home and auto insurance with All-State for over 10 years. They even helped me find my commercial insurance provider for my home business. Then I recently moved and they realized" I didn't use their new broker WFG for my commercial insurance that they had "made a deal with" 5 years prior - and suddenly their "new rule" is to charge me $500 extra a year on my home insurance (more than my entire commercial policy) unless I switch to their broker. I can KEEP my exact same commercial policy - but if I don't change to their broker they are charging me extra $500. They are getting a kick back from WFG and if you don't use them - they charge you. It's shady. They make their own rules and there is no way around it. Regardless of the fact that THEY set me up with my initial commercial broker 10 years ago before they make up this new rule and hand shake with WFG.Would not recommend ALLSTATE and they should be investigated."

Over the years I have also referred friends, family & clients for their insurance needs & their experiences have been wonderful as well!I just can't say enough good things, if you're looking for an amazing insurance agent, look no further!

Their online estimates are far lower than the real cost - I gave all the same information to them as I did for the online estimate, but the cost was 30% higher. Misleading advertising to get you through the door.

Great service and an amazing customer oriented approach. Kat could offer policy for the vehicle and a house and managed to reduce our premium significantly. Coverage and conditions were only improved.

This location has some of the most helpful and positive staff. The office admin person (I forget her name) was so professional and had the answers to all my questions. She followed up with me after to make sure the changes I asked for were still meeting my needs.

I attempted to get insurance through All State, after creating an online quote, I was directed to Jihnee Choi to complete the sale of the policy. I voiced it was extremely important to complete the sale and insure my vehicle that day - which is usually an extremely easy task. Rather than being helpful and explaining things to me she was dismissive when I needed paperwork from my previous insurance company. After providing that information and contacting 3 times with no response, I requested to finish the policy with another agent multiple times. Finally another helpful agent in the office helped me, updated my quote and then were unable to get ahold of me because it was the end of business day and I was only getting ahold of Jinhee every 3-5 hours. I tried again the next day, sent off paperwork like the bill of sale because that had still yet to be asked for. An entire day went buy and Jihnee only asked for 2 pieces of information for the policy, not all information needed to complete the sale making rhe process much more lengthy. After calling multiple times with even confusion from customer service as to why it says Jinhee is in office, but it also says she isn't. Not a single answer from the phones in the entire office before noon. I gave up, went with ama and had insurance within 3 hours of contacting them, which included my agents lunch break, helping other customers and myself having to call ICBC for more information I would have needed that wasn't requested. My insurance also ended up $500 less a month than my All-State quote. I was FINALLY contacted Monday by Jinhee stating she was unable to open documents that someone in her office already opened and updated my file with. I would not recommend this inefficient service to anyone. Especially working with the agent Jinhee Choi.

Denee Noel is one of the best agents I have an opportunity to deal with in last 20 years or so. I highly recommend her services to my family and friends.

The branch is very attentive to your insurance needs and does their due diligence on everything! Jennifer H. is so attentive and always makes my family and I feel understood.I would recommend her and Allstate to anyone looking for a broker that prioritizes customer service and detail.
