JR Dog Training

I had regrets after adopting a year and a half old Pitbull Mix. I had no control over my 74 pound dog. I had two sessions with JR. I can now enjoy life with my dog that gets along well with my other rescues. Thank you JR, you really love dogs, it shows. Buddy always runs up to you, for you to play with him. Life is so much better with this training that you provided.

I've attended a handful of sessions so far, and I couldn't be happier with the results! We're training a 1 year old Maltipoo who is generally good, but we wanted to improve her ability to respond to commands. The results have been immediate and impressive! JR is clear and direct with his training methods, and they produce great results. I would certainly recommend his services for any dog training needs!

Really great trainer! My dog was really struggling with walking without pulling and barking at other dogs, people, cyclists etc… the trainings are done outside so the environment that triggers your dog can be worked on. The results were quick. You need to be consistent with what the trainer shows you, but if you are, it’s totally worth it!! Would recommend :)

Abusing and using fear based training is not helpful in the long run, he whips and uses choke chains to train" dogs

We've seen terrific results with JR. Our dog is listening more, barking much less, and becoming more comfortable with other dogs and humans.

I've used JR's services for the past 7 months . His methods and training really worked. My dog was potty trained after 2 week's of training, taking my golden retriever for walks is so easy now without her pulling the leash. My dog used to bite my children and applying JR's methods now my kid's are enjoying playtime with her. I really recommend his methods. Thank you JR.

JR has been great with our dog! We have seen a great improvement in her impulse control since starting his courses just after a few hours of training. We will continue to attend and use his training techniques.

Whatever you do, do NOT use JR. He uses fear driven methods. Every solutions for him consists of a harsh pull with a choker. The first thing he does when meeting you is making you sign a contract with full payment and will not refund you a dollar if you don't like his method. He will not give you an address and will want to meet in parks instead. Will ask for cash because his business is far from legit. I also just noticed that all his reviews date from the last year because he deleted his old profile because there was too many bad comments. I suspect his good reviews to be fake because nobody with common sense would leave a dog to him. Please avoid at all cost.

Great dog trainer!When I got my puppy, he was terrified of all people and dogs to the point of hiding under cars. I was afraid of needing to have to rehome him as he was terrified and then was overly exuberant with my senior disabled dog and cat. JR has helped my animals to coexist and aided my pup gain confidence to walk outside. Although he still gets shy when there's a big barking dog, my pup is no longer terrified of a calm dog or person walking near us. We work on heel, recall, etc during class and then practice at home. My elderly mother can watch the pup and I'm not afraid of him pulling her away. JR is firm and constantly repeats not to choke the dogs during classes. He corrects us and shows us the proper way of conducting ourselves with the dog. I'm very glad to take his classes as my pup is still growing and JR will be able to help with any questions along the way.
