Had sunlife for group benefits with a previous employer and blue cross is a serious step backwards. More refused claims, and everything is only partial payment.

One of the worse insurance companies. Always late with their claims i need to call 4 times just to understand whats happening with it. They will tell you can go to a private clinic but they wont refund you to 100%. So why i am insure if they don t accept private clinic or surgery. They always play on the word to sneak out not to pay. Always blame the doctors that it s their fault their not cooperating. Avoid at any cost

They ask me to fille may be twice the document just to be sure that on line i filed the right document. What a site do you have if you are not able to tell me if you received the right documents . And you loose people times to fill the docs online then to call you and to fill second time the documents just in case. WOW the best comuter system ever

Worst coverage, whatever you submit them they always find a reason not to reimburse, employers who provide this health insurance are just too cheap to pay for a descent coverage. Even claims for massages in some policies requires note from family doctor. They pay barely 10-20 percent of health practitioners services I have submitted. They terminate your access to their app/site the day your contract terminated and if you didn't submit your claims you have to send them by mail. I feel all money paid to them over last few years are wasted, cause they always find a reason not to pay, like Your glasses frame purchased not within your province

This is a scam company. I have been following up with them for almost 4 months for my dental treatment refund, but they keep requesting the same documents every 15 days. I would not recommend this insurance to anyone, although I had no option as it was provided by my employer.

I hope there was 0 star. They got a lot of money and whenever you need them, they are looking for a reason to reject your claim. If I was not obligated by the university, I would never get their insurance.

If you are on a trip abroad, ethnic (non-white canadian) and severely injured, do not count on them, they will not help you. Both French or English speaking agents will spin your around and stall you until you give up.18 phone hours, 35 emails, 21 different agents, all for nothing. Use your Amex or Visa insurance instead, they'll help you better.

After being with Manuvie for more than 4 years with my previous employer, I can say that this company clearly does something wrong. Getting my claim processed takes about 12-15 open days while previously I got used to 2 days max.Why don't you do like Manuvie and let the client fill the costs and service provider instead of having someone internally pick up the receipt and do the data entry? That would save you guys a lot whole of work.Also getting an answer from someone internally takes mode than 5-8 open days.This is my worst experience with an insurance company and I will definitely suggest my current employer to change if possible.

I have no clue where all the negative reviews are coming from. I have never had a single claim refused, and blue cross has always reimbursed in time. Had an issue once, but it was sorted swiftly. The customer service reps are also genuinely helpful. I do have a group insurance plan with the university, not sure if that’s why it’s better. Can’t say anything about personal plans, but overall, I am very satisfied.
