Would love to say how wonderful it was, but I refuse to lie. The meal was mediocre at best and the place was hot with no air-conditioning (no, it was not broken, it was non-existent).

The owner or manager, whatever she was was exceptionally rude. Until she finds out you're in the wedding party... Even then. It's pretty bad when the event staff has more personal and hospitality skills than the person running" it. Great job to them food was good. Grounds were fine."

The woman who called herself the owner is very rude. Why on Earth would anyone support her and this business"."

We filmed a wedding here in July 2019. It was amazing. Excellent venue to have everything in one place, including accommodations, outdoor ceremony, reception and dance spot. The food was delicious!

I do not recommend this venue.While the barn is a nice location for a reception, many factors about this venue are sub-par. Poor signage/direction on where guests can and cannot be, no lighting in the secondary parking lot (at the top of a steep, gravel hill) and confusing rules on where guests can take alcoholic beverages on the property.The on-site cabins were sub-par, doors not closing or locking correctly so MANY bugs got in, no drive-up access and no marked pathway to these cabins make moving any personal belongings difficult and are not friendly for people with mobility issues.The female manager was rude to guests and family of the happy couple on multiple occasions (a common complaint...) adding for more stress and headaches for the event.

Superb facilities in nice country setting with good ammenties. The upgrades over the years and the great service makes this a wonderful location for a wedding or function. I hosted several events here and have been entirely satisfied.

Stayed here for my sister's wedding for 5 days. It was an awesome place to stay and even better location for the venue itself. Staff was friendly and very accommodating.

Went for there for a family wedding and while most of the serving staff and bartender were wonderful the Manager or wedding coordinator of the place was absolutely rude to the guests. I understand that she can be wonderful for the wedding party but I wouldn't recommend having a wedding here if she continues to be so rude to the guests. Also they turned the air conditioning off during the dance portion of the reception and unfortunately the bartender and serving staff didn't have access to the remotes so it ended up being unbearably hot. I am glad that my family member who was getting married had a good experience I just wish that this one person (manager or wedding coordinator) didn't spoil what is supposed to be a happy event for everyone else.

As a wedding photographer on PEI I've seen many venues and Green Isle I've been to a few years ago, and now again just this past Saturday. I have to say that this is one of the best managed, customer service oriented venues on the Island. The manager of the venue was incredible, and speaking to the parents of the bride/groom as well as the bridal party themselves (all 14 of them), they were all blown away. Every concern was taken care of, and she was so accommodating. It was one of the best meals I've had at a wedding in a long time as they've hired a full time chef to do the catering on site. They have accommodations for the ENTIRE wedding party on site and separately (a house on one side, and a recently renovated basement apartment type of idea under the barn which was AWESOME for the guys, I ended up taking a number of photos in there since it was so cool). As long as everyone at the wedding knows that during the day of the wedding, you cannot take liquor on the property of the barn only (you can bring your own drinks and have them literally next door in a big open field which is on the house property), then everything runs smooth and there are zero problems. There are also two beautiful cottages which the parents of the bride/groom or anyone really can stay in on site as well, I think the bride/groom stayed in one of them their wedding night which is great to get away from everyone. As far as wedding guests go, the manager WILL EVEN DRIVE THEM TO THEIR HOTELS AROUND THE AREA for $5 or something like that.. She was incredible and any bad reviews out there are likely due to people not understanding they couldn't take their own booze in the barn or something like that. My husband and I had our wedding at Green Island Getaways this Saturday and could not have been happier with the location as well as working with the wonderful manager Bronwyn. It was absolutely beautiful and we received countless compliments about the venue. We couldn't have imagined our day being anywhere else. Thank you so much for helping to make our wedding so amazing!!
