Was at the Niagara Falls Boulevard office this morning. Came from Toronto with no idea what to expect (up here passports alone require lining up from 4:30 in the morning). Walked right in when I arrived at 9:10. No wait. Mr. Bush was professional, kind (I was a mess after having gotten lost twice) and with perfect English (coming from Toronto, that's a bonus). I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Such a great experience. Lots of parking and can't say enough about how great this young man was.

I have never in my life written a negative review like this but the absolute disrespect I received from this staff member in the first 2 minutes of this conversation was astounding. I called because I just got married and need to change my name on my SS card. He immediately accused me of trying to cut in line" from people who live in Niagara Falls because I live too far away. I told him I had already tried to contact my local office numerous times but they didn't have a hold line or an answering machine. Then he snapped at me and said "we'll you're just not patient enough then" and hung up on me. I'm truly appalled. I know everyone is short-staffed right now but this was just nasty

I drove to this office from Toronto on the 25th of April and the customer service was phenomenal from the service representative Simon. We had to return on the same day as a document was forgotten, and the minute we walked in he flagged us over. He had to verify some documents for us and send them to Brandon Stupi (employee)in Baltimore, however, they were not received as of yet. I have been calling everyday and simply cannot reach anyone. The wait time is a bit much. It is time sensitive that I reach Simon. Hoping someone from their office sees this review and connects with Brandon. Please Help Someone!******this has been resolved, thank you!!!!!!!******

This office can actually be REACHED BY PHONE, and has professional and courteous agents. One of them, a Mr. Wiser, actually called me to tell me that my documents had been processed and a stalled Social Security application had just started up and approval would be very soon. This is one of the best government offices I've ever worked with. Unlike some of the other Social Security offices I've dealt with, they care about doing a good job and helping people. Six stars.

A kind Social Security Administration agent listed to my problem, understood my dilemma and suggested a helpful solution. Now I am just crossing my fingers that the next agent in another office who will work on the solution will be just as supportive and helpful as the on.e I talked to today. A previous phone call in another matter and with another Niagara agent resulted in a similar helpful and friendly interaction. My impression of the agents in that office is very positive and I want to send my thanks.

Today was an interesting experience. In the past I've never had an issue with this location, in fact the service was always straightforward and to the point. However, today I needed to apply for my daughter's SSN since my family plans on moving to the U.S! Well first of all the man I had to deal with was extremely rude and acted like an adolescent who was extremely offended. He couldn't handle my raised voice which I tend to when wearing a mask out of habit, I was baffled by his attitude. His customer service skills needs improvement. Anyways, I am a Canadian born indigenous citizen so usually all that's required is they accept a birth certificate, usually two pieces of I.D(one being a native status card) and a blood quantum letter stating that you are at least 50% indigenous. But today, the man informed me that we don't accept blood quantum letters anymore." Immediately I called my band office and asked them about this apparent new policy of this SSN office. Furthermore why is this not stated up on any American government websites? Are they trying to take more away from us indigenous or?? I must say too that when he said

This office does not care about the situation of their clients at all, total lack of empathy. I have been waiting 3 months for my SSN (and still waiting). Whenever I call for an update I have been nothing but patient and kind, only to be greeted with rude/annoyed tones telling me that “it’s still pending”, and never is the issue looked into, even when this process typically takes less than 2 weeks. They have all the power to contact other government offices to follow-up on verifications, but they simply don’t care enough to. I highly recommend using a different SSA office as these individuals don’t care, and will NOT look out for you.

This office had been good however on May 8th, seemed like all were on vacation, four attempts and last one was 33:33 minutes long before my call went dead. Before then, folks seemed kind and helpful. I guess we all have our bad days.
