Springwood Animal Hospital (& Home Euthanasia Services)

Great staff, wonderful vet. No one tries to gouge you or charge you more than necessary. We had our beloved dog pass in August and had an at home euthanasia. The vet was wonderful and caring. I highly recommend them!

Being a first time dog owner, I can honestly say Springwood Animal Hospital has been such a huge help for myself and my little guy. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely care about you and your pet. They are patient and understanding, and truly want the best for you and yours. The staff are happy to both help and advise, but also to listen to your concerns. They are honest, non-judgemental and provide a safe and friendly environment with each visit. My little guy absolutely loves going to the vet, and as Pawrents we have such comfort knowing that he is receiving the absolute best care from such a loving, approachable and knowledgeable team. 10/10 recommend!

We just got a new puppy and I needed to bring him to a vet within 72-hours because of the contract I signed with the breeder. They gave me an appointment very quickly, Jessica was very friendly when we arrived. The vet was very nice as well, explaining everything, every vaccine even though I already have dogs - I guess he just wants to make sure you understand what's going on and that he's not doing something unnecessary. Plus, he called himself the next day to ask how the puppy was doing with the vaccines. Much appreciated!

We were unhappy that our current vet was still not allowing humans into their building three years into Covid. We were looking for a new vet for our 5 year old dogs Jet and Rocket. On the recommendation of a family member we called Springwood when one of the dogs was due for her yearly checkup and shots. I was given an appointment for the very next morning. Looking forward to meeting our new vet I was surprised to have a completely different vet come into the room and tell me that the vet was on vacation for a month! It wasn’t an emergency so as a new client why wasn’t I told that there was a fill in vet working when I called to book? Well this temporary vet must be working on commission because after trying to sell me Nexgard which we buy cheaper online she tried to sell me doggie dental cleaning. I told her we could not and would not pay over $800 a visit for each of two dogs to have their teeth cleaned. She then said she was going to go get the vaccines and when she returned she also had an armload of dental products that she tried to sell me. I couldn’t wait to get out of the place but in my rush to leave I said wait a minute you didn’t cut her nails! She said that costs extra!!!?? Every vet I’ve ever been to with dogs during my life has always cut their nails during a yearly physical. I could not be more disappointed in Springwood, does anyone know of a vet that looks at your dog before your wallet or are they all just interested in maximum cash extraction.Dear owner of Springwood thank you for your response. Unfortunately your perception of how my appointment went is pure conjecture and fantasy and needs to be discussed here not on the phone so that people looking for an honest review do not dismiss mine as someone who as you would like people to believe just sadly misunderstood the vets caring and professional advice. It was your vet that pushed teeth cleaning I never brought up anything about cleaning or dissatisfaction with a quote from our previous vet. My response to her sales pitch for my 5 year old dog who has no oral problems yet was that our previous vet said it would be about $800 if the time came. I told her that’s not going to happen. (As a senior on a fixed income I couldn’t afford to pay $800 to clean my teeth let alone a dogs!) We have used Nexgard with both dogs for the past five years so your vet didn’t educate me on the benefits of Nexgard she just asked me if I wanted to buy more. As I stated she left to get the vaccines came back with a teeth cleaning quote starting at $814+ and the oral cleaning products and sales pitch. I gotta hand to her she was undeterred after hello she never stopped selling products and services. Let me close with a suggestion on my one complaint you did not address. On a yearly checkup and shot appointment Springwood should take two minutes out of selling time to clip the dogs nails as a courtesy like other vets do.

I recently switched vets, my dog Clyde had to have major dental work done. I cant say enough about all the staff from the girls at the front desk, the vet tech and Dr Dilawer, they did an excellent job, explained the procedure and followed up with me mid day to let me know how things were going. I highly recommend this Dr and his staff. It is clean and the prices are very reasonable. Most importantly they are straight up about what needs to be done and want the best for your pet.

Springwood animal hospital did such a great job looking after our Dog when she was sick, her recovery has been very quick. We are so happy, the staff are wonderful and the Vet was brilliant.

The team behind Springwood Animal Hospital are amazing! During the difficult time last week, our beloved Marley, had an emergency short visit. The SAH team were outstanding, and it shows in their practice of tremendous patience, honesty, and efficiency. Marley was my first child laid to rest, and we were going through the climatic emotional rollercoasters, Dr. Muhammad Dilawer expressed his concerns with kind recommendations in supporting us during the difficult time in knowing our options to make the best decision. His honesty was needed and received with the highest regard. The SAH team were very patient, and allowed us all the time in the world to be with Marley during his final moments, and exchanging our loving goodbyes and capturing the moment. Never once did we feel rushed or uncertain and it was what we needed during that time. We received a call five days after with the updates that Marley was ready to take home after his urn was prepped with care. And again, the team at SAH did not disappoint, we felt the same generosity and kindness from day one and it was the sweetest pickup. Love this place!! My puppy has always hated going to the vet until we started coming here. He gets so excited every time we get there. The Dr solved my dogs skin issues. Prices are great.

Springwood was recommended by a friend, so glad I switched vets. Everything is explained, prices are reasonable & Dr. Dilated is wonderful
