Ricardo was an excellent host. He was very personable and sat with us to share info on the menu items.The ambiance was very nice and all together guest received a personal greeting.The food was amazing!!

Phenomenal experience! We had the chicken fritay meal and the shrimp plantain bowls. The food tastes amazing & is well seasoned. We were served by Judith who was such a delight & Ricardo came to speak to us about the menu and made our time there so enjoyable. The people here are top tier - they all had smiles on their beautiful faces. Great vibes all around!

This was my first time here and it was amazing I walked in with a smile as Ricardo greet me . The atmosphere is amazing the customer service is beyond perfect . Kisha was my server and she did an amazing job she recommended the best and I enjoyed every mouth full of it . The food was on point the Tasso Goat , the rum cake . I will definitely be coming back .

Great food. Had the goat and the shrimp fritays; good portions and excellent meats. The dumpling appetizer was the standout, especially with the sauce. Will visit again, there's more we want to try!

Boukan was recommended to me by a close friend so I've had it on my list for a while now and came for the first time with my family for dinner. The food was incredible - so delicious. Our server Miles was kind and attentive. We met the owner Amir who wanted to ensure that we had a good meal and offered us complimentary beginets at the end. I will definitely be back again.

This was such a lovely experience. The food is delicious and flavourful and there are so many options to try. The host and server was amazing; super friendly and patient. It was our first time there and she took the time to explain the items, and what they were similar too in other cultures so we could get an idea of what the dish was similar too. I loved the rice and peas and the chicken was so well seasoned, flavoured and crispy. The haitian dumplings ( sort of like a pholourie and a Jamaican fried dumpling) also try the beet salad!! The goat was a favourite of my.friends so I would say try the goat too! I will definitely be going back because there are still so many things that I want to try. I recommend trying the desserts--we had the beignets --they are made to order and made using green plantain (a little different from the New Orleans style)but just as yummy. The cocktails are unique and very boozy-- the boukanye is a refreshing and a must try . Restaurant also has live entertainment throughout the week (including open mic). Food 10/10 hospitality 10/10 vibes 10/10This is a unique Toronto spot with great authenticity, you won't be disappointed

I don't think I have anything negative to say about this place—first time trying Haitian food. Our server was very helpful, the food came on time, plating and flavours were great. Will definitely come again. If you're looking for something different, absolutely try this place!

Everything was delicious! Love the many uses of plantain (even as a burger bun) and the dumplings. Does make for a very filling meal so go hungry. The dessert beignets were insanely good and they brought some plain ice cream for my nephew too. We didn't get a chance to try the cheesecake as it is quite popular so it was sold out; I missed on the bill that we were charged for it though. Honest mistake I'm sure and I didn't catch it.I'd definitely go again for dessert.

If you want a unique and flavourful dining experience, I highly recommend checking out Boukan.This Haitian Caribbean fusion restaurant offers an array of mouth-watering street food dishes like the Banana Beignet with Mango Dip and the Brown Butter Hennessy Chicken + Waffles, which are both crispy and delicious.The colourful decor and laid-back atmosphere made for a great dining experience with my best friend, and we even enjoyed some mango mimosas.I also enjoyed the Omelet Bliss, filled with tasty goat cheese, spinach, onions, and tomatoes, served with green plantain, pikliz, and epis aioli. The portions were generous enough to take some home to share with my family. The epis aioli with fries is a big hit with my two-year-old.I must also commend the exceptional service provided by Miles and all the staff at Boukan. They were attentive and friendly, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. It's always great to see a team that takes pride in its work and values its customers. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to try out their dinner menu.Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone seeking a unique and flavourful meal in a relaxed yet professional setting.
