I went to my friend's wedding and the place for me is a great place to get married.I really like the service, the food. The people were really nice and available at all times.The coordinator did a great job helping the couple and all the guests.If you need a place for your wedding or event, Century Event is the place to go.

EDIT: The venue confirmed that the coordinator in question no longer works there.About the venue:There's 3 different outdoor ceremony options (including 1 covered for rain) as well as the indoor option. The reception space is gorgeous as-is with high vaulted ceilings, windows and chandeliers. The amenities are very well maintained and the overall apperance is very modern. The option to stay on site for our wedding photos was lovely with the gazebo, the patio pergola and the field as backdrops. The food was delectable and service staff was phenomenal. The bartenders were very friendly. The only issue we had with the venue itself was the bridal suite. It was underwhelming. There were no hooks for dresses and the AC didn't quite reach that space so our wait before the ceremony was very hot.

My wife and I really loved our experience with Century Wedding and Events. Everything was organized and clearly communicated to us. We planned to have our ceremony outdoors but it rained. Despite this, Century made swift changes to move the ceremony indoors without inconveniencing our guests. Truly a great experience. Special mention to our coordinator Sydney. She is hard working, tireless and professional. It was pleasure working with and meeting her.

Century was a pleasure to work with. They were responsive when it mattered and were flexible on changes. The venue itself is beautiful too. There are opportunities here for outdoors and indoors wedding elements. Jen is a great coordinator and made sure the bride and groom are well taken care on the special day. The staff is professional and well trained. Outside catering is allowed and can be mixed with the wedding bundle. I highly recommend century if you are looking for a reasonable and stress free event/wedding.

Recently attended a wedding reception there. Everything went really well. The person in charge seemed to care that all the guests were happy and you could tell that trickled down to all the staff. If I had an event to plan, this would be my first choice.

We were married on June 3, 2023 and had a great experience with Century. We did not have our ceremony there but we did have our dinner and reception. The food was fantastic (highly recommend the poutine bar!) and the decor was beautiful. We kept everything simple with very minimal add-ons. The venue itself is beautiful and outside as well. A great spot to do wedding photos without having to go far.Other than some communication issues early on, they were very easy and pleasant to deal with. Our wedding coordinator Jen is awesome answered all my questions and in a timely manner (and I had lots of questions!). The rest of the staff was great as well.I would definitely recommend this venue to future brides!

the place is really pretty but they are too demanding and imposing. you are almost not free of your own party. I loved my wedding but I regret with all my heart that I chose Century for my wedding. before paying the first deposit, be sure to ask all questions by email to keep the proof in writing. at the beginning of my approach, the first person who received us said that the smoke machine for the first dance was authorized, once the contract was signed, they changed the language. then another coordinator gave me a number to rent the machine because according to her the person had worked with them before and the machine had not set off the fire alarm. we contacted the person and we return the question back to the century, they said yes we can. but arrived on the day of the wedding they said No. I lost a lot trusting this party place. moreover, if you like to be ordered in spite of your own money, this place is better for you. I regret

Century is a very unique venue which is why my husband and I decided to get married here! The venue is very well maintained and the way the space is designed allows larger weddings to still feel more intimate and personal. The coordinators (Jessica and Valarie) were very kind and professional throughout the entire planning process. They were extremely patient when dealing with my parents (they can be difficult customers at times), which was greatly appreciated. The food is definitely fresh and high quality here; however, I would say that the portions could be slightly larger. As for pricing, Century's rates are competitive and fair when comparing with other venues in Ottawa. I felt like Century had a lot more rules than the average venue, but I noticed that they started to abolish some of these rigid policies over the last year. Overall, I had an amazing wedding day and my guests were very impressed with everything. We actually had a power outage during the reception due to awful weather, but the staff at Century dealt with this situation very efficiently and effectively. I'm sure the staff were very stressed in the moment, but I want to thank them for resolving the issue in such a timely manner. To be honest, the majority of my guests did not even notice the power going out! Thanks again to everyone and I am sad it's all over!

The venue itself is very nice, the food was decent and the servers during dinner were great. However, the wedding coordinator and planning process for my sister’s wedding was HORRIBLE. We actually had to hire an outside wedding coordinator to deal with venue communication because it was so non-existent and when there was communication, it was very unprofessional. It caused immense amounts of stress. Strongly consider avoiding this venue simply due to poor communication and rude coordinator. Also, be cautious as many of the reviews posted are written by family members of staff.UPDATED: Thank you for your response. It was more detailed, well thought out and professional than any communication that my sister received during her entire planning process.I want to make clear that the one star is based on the planning process and rude coordinator. Unfortunately, those things outweighed the nice venue/food/servers.In regards to the “flooding negative reviews”, my sister attempted to talk with someone from Century (after the wedding) so that she could provide feedback and share her experience one-on-one. However, that request was denied. Therefore, we had to share our experiences here instead. We fully support small business, especially in these tough times. However, customer service, professionalism, and care should be a top priority and they so clearly weren’t (at least not shown by the coordinator).I believe that if there was a different wedding coordinator, this would be a completely different review.
