As a first time purchaser from Northstar Tonewoods, I was not sure what I would get. I ordered Honduran Mahogany neck blanks (27 in and 18in) two Pau Ferro 1st grade finger boards and a Honduran Mahogany Heel block. Delivery was quick and relatively inexpensive. UPS delivered and there was very minor damage to one corner of the Heel block. Not the end of the world but I would suggest perhaps there needs to be a little bit of bubble wrap at the ends. I have attached pics of the wood and packaging. I will definitely buy again. So happy to have a good reputable Canadian source for hardwoods.ThxRob O'Neill Lutherie and CNC Design

One star is being generous! I ordered three sets of wood. One wasn’t available and I had to be refunded and the other one of the two sets I received was splitting in numerous places. The wood was shipped with nothing more than a thin cardboard wrapping that didn’t offer much protection. The cardboard showed no signs of being damaged so It was obvious that the wood was shipped out this way.If you are like me, with deadlines, and customers that don’t care about lame excuses I would avoid purchasing wood from this place.

Excellent, received the wood as supposed a week later and one of the piece had a crack, I told Mike and he offered me a full refund but this set is so beautiful to send it back so i ll just make a cutaway to keep that set. Excellent customer s service.
