It was my first time trying Caribbean/Haitian food. I called in and received the call directly from the owner. The owner made excellent recommendations and helped me through the menu. The quality of service is amazing. Upon arrival, the owner introduced herself which was quiet superb. Based on the quality of the food, You can literally taste the culture & amazing ingredients that were used. I would recommend this place to anyone who would like to try some Caribbean/Haitian food. This location has my highest recommendation. The staff is extremely politely and helpful and the owner is simply amazing. The food was prepared very fast & the Owner was extremely welcoming.Great place to dine and have take out !!!

Order on skip. Pork has bones in it like goat and is 90% fat. Tiny akra and very oily. 1.32$ each. Disappointing. Dinner for 2 75$ low grade. Never again

If I could I would put zero star. Poor representation of what haitian food really taste like. It is very greasy overly salted not seasoned just too salty. Doesn't taste authentic at all. Also never order the LAMBI conch stew its a trap. I got a bowl full of red gravy extremely spicy with too much onion and bell pepper not even a spoon full of Lambi and they charge 22.95 for a plate of white rice, salty black bean sauce and old fried plantain.I tried the haitian cake old and dried out taste nothing like the real haitian pineapple turn over cake. All the food I got tasted like left over or re-heated food. I am surprised because I am of Haitian descent myself and a Haitian knows this food is not up to standard. I would like to support Haitian own businesses in Gatineau-Ottawa but Shalom that's my second time ordering and definitely my last!!!!I ordered 60$ worth of food and had to make a complaint on Uber eats about food quality.Seriously disappointed customer!

I give it 0. Doesn’t taste good. Taste like the food slept in the fridge and they microwaved it. And the price is too expensive….DONT ORDER FROM THEM.

I moved within Ottawa and although it’s in Quebec this restaurant ended up being closer to me than the other. You get a lot of food for the price and it tastes very good. Only issue I’d say is that the griot (fried pork) has a LOT of fat and skin which obviously, is even less healthy than the fried food I’m already eating.

I love to support local businesses especially during this Covid crisis and being from the Caribbean myself I look for Haitian or Jamaican food. I went there today an order a small griot plate with rice and pickliz with an extra side of pickliz. I was very disappointed to discover 4 pieces of meat, and a huge portion for rice. Now don't get me wrong I'm not expecting a whole heap of meat but 4 pieces only?!?!?! Come on man.

The food seems okay at times during the week, but on the weekend it is not good, nothing is well seasoned, the griot was bad, the food don't look fresh, feels like leftovers. The place has potential but they need constant cook. You cook like that in Montreal you would run out of business. I would not recommend anyone to eat there because you don't know what you're going to get.

What a gem! It’s great to have delicious Haitian food in Gatineau! The owner of the restaurant is so nice, the food was ready when I got there to pick it up, it was still hot when I got home. I strongly recommend this restaurant. The riz collé is perfect and not too greasy, the sauce pois is delicious, the pikliz is YUM. I don’t eat meat but my husband and brother loved the griot.
