3 of us went for dinner at Kibo Sushi House last night. The staff very extremely friendly and fast. I love the ambiance in the restaurant. Brick walls and very decorative. I had the bento box which was tasty, but for 14.99 and without any sushi was a little steep in my books. My guests had 2 sushi specials that were delicious too. The portion size was enough to fill us up. We will be back here for sure.

I have visited Kibo 4 times now and honestly it has been over a 2 year period what with the pandemic and all. Over that time consistently the food was delicious the staff were so lovely. They went beyond what was necessary the first time I visited. The food is a little pricey for me but every time I feel like having sushi I go to them without fail. Highly recommend.

I ordered the Salmon Teriyaki Bento Box. I placed the order by phone at approximately 7pm, and by the time I picked it up and brought it home, it was about 7:20pm. The food was of very poor quality. The mizo soup was cold, the rice and salmon were also cold and the salmon was not fresh and seemed to be kinda dried out and over cooked. I had to heat the food and soup up in the microwave before eating it. When I called the restaurant to complain, the manager came on the line and was very disbeliving of my complaints and he was quite rude to me too. Saying that no other customer had ever complained about the food before, as well he insinuated that I was making it all up, basically called me a liar. He was very argumentative and rude. I did not even want or ask for a refund or anything like that. All I wanted was to let them know that the food was tasteless, cold and disappointing. However after speaking to the manager, I found that the customer service was even worse than the food. I am never going back to this restaurant, nor would I recommend this Kibo restaurant (at the St. Clair location) to anyone. I WOULD HAVE GIVEN ZERO STARS IN MY REVIEW IF THAT WERE AN OPTION. BEWARE.....UNBELIVABY RUDE MANAGER!

Decent food and service. Nothing to really write home about as it was moderately fast, hot and fresh. Miso soup was not watered down and decent portion sizes. parking is available across the street.

I ordered 2 sets of octopus tempura yesterday from this place through skip the dishes and i noticed that my tempura is cooked with PAPER AS MIX with the flour and also there is more paper(WHOLE PILE) shredded and used as topping on the tempuras and topped of with some sort of brown sauce. I will be making sure this gets to health department.P.S i know what is Bonito flake and that was not it. It didn't melt in my mouth. And you could see some burnt sides on the papers.

My wife and I went there for dinner today and overall we have to say we were pretty impressed. Service was fast and responsive and the food was tasteful. Portion was good size and comparable.Would definitely return again.

Affordable prices for much better than average sushi. Ordered the Sushi Combo C which came with a miso soup. Food arrived promptly and was presented nicely. Portion size was good given the price.I went during lunch time and was happy with the overall service. Good ambience with soft music playing, thankfully it wasn't too crowded at the time which made for a relaxing lunch.

Just had my 2nd experience at this location and it isn’t the best. The first time I came in I ordered for my family of 8 I was overwhelmed with the menu and don’t know what items are best to order since it was my first time coming to this location. I tried asking the staff inside their establishment and they were not helpful just left me alone to order struggling. I just called now (April 3rd 2023) wanting to order for my family total of 8 of us for a birthday celebration. I asked the woman on the phone for suggestions and explained I was overwhelmed with the variety of options on their website. She was very dismissive and told me to call in 15 minutes once I’m ready to try ordering again. I said should I come in to order at your location instead to get assistance in person? She seemed dismissive again as if she did not care and made me feel like I was not considered a valued customer. Not sure why the 2 times I’ve communicated with them it seems like they just don’t care for my business. I don’t receive this type of treatment at other Japanese restaurants. Makes me feel awful for calling and ordering food.
