First class human being. Incredible wisdom and incredible heart. Howie is a doctor that loves to help people and he works very hard. He will only tell the patient what he knows and if he is not sure he will put one in touch with a specialist immediately. He has ain incredible desire to make people well and i dont know if when he retires i will find another doctor like him. He spends a lot of time with his patients and he is very patient himself and most people dont know this but medicine was not even his first area of study. He studied at Cambridge and got his degree in Nuclear Physics. He is a very smart man but his heart is what is most incredible. I hope he keeps on working for as long as possible as he is a gem

Had several family doctors over the past 20 years, Dr. James is the finest and the best one. He cares about his patients and is willing to spend time to communicate with patients in order to get the full pic for diagnosis. My whole family is with him and his team. He is super devoted to his job and has great relationship with a lot of specialist. He always follow up with exam and reports and makes sure our health is on the right track. We are so lucky to have Dr. James as our doctor over the years.

Dr Howard James has been my family doctor for over 10 years. He is a very devoted, hard-working and caring doctor. He is friendly, humble and has an emphatetic attitude trying to really know how I feel with respect to my health issues. He is very thorough in what he does, conscientious and inquisitive. Dr. James is as fine a person as one could want for a family doctor. He is kind, caring, and courteous. He has always given his time graciously, and has been helpful to our family for many years. He is also well respected by his associates in the Vancouver medical community.

Kitsilano has been home for twenty years and looking for a doctor ever since 1998. When I saw the college of physicians website that this doctor was finally accepting new patients. I called to make an appointment and was told they are not accepting new patients. Someone is not being honest here. The lady on the phone was very rude to me which is unacceptable. It so frustrating living in nice neighbourhood and no doctors within walking distance while other people have no problem getting a family doctor. Been checking the BC college physicians regularly and always get turned away. Until a doctor offers their services to me, all I can do is come here and write reviews.
