Place was beautiful. Staff were so friendly, food was delicious. Pool didn't work when we were there. Would have been nice to have an outdoor hottub here.

Amazing resort. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent, activities were even better. An expansive area to explore and the best people to highlight everything from local legends to geography/wildlife/plants to sustainable first Nations water use. Look close enough and you will find first Nations live tree carvings on site too, along with other wood carvings in the main lodge. We went horseback riding, fly fishing, walking, and also enjoyed Yoga and meditation time in an amazing Thai studio. The views are endless, with grasslands to the west, mountains to the east and boreal forest surrounding. The Frazer Canyon was a highlight for me as were the timber framed buildings. Our accommodation was a beautiful cabin with beverages and local made snacks, and the most comfortable bed. Relaxing stress free vibes flowed for the extended weekend. An experience we will not soon forget.

Edit: Was told by Kerstin when we had to cancel due to Covid that they would honor our rates later on in the year and that we could reschedule when life got back to normal and that she would keep in touch re: rebooking our wedding. We have not made alternate plans as we wanted to stick with the original plan. As BC just moved into phase 3 I wanted to reach out the them as we havent heard anything. Went on to their website to get their phone number and says that they are not opening until April 2021 as they have decided to close for the year. Would have been professional to contact us to let us know as we have been waiting on rescheduling. Seems like they made this decision months ago so was quite disappointed they didnt let us know. Her exact words in her email were I will certainly be in touch and keep you updated and we will work with you on the dates!" So sad as we could have started planning for an alternative months ago.***** We have not yet been able to stay with the team at Echo Valley as we have had to postpone our trip/elopement due to the Covid19 pandemic. About 10 years ago now a group of us took a big bus and stayed about a week. The owners and staff were the best. Food was tops. The safari trip was great. I hope many more will be able to enjoy their hospitality. Thanks again!

My wife and I stayed at ranch for few days in September 2021. It’s very easy to rate this place: absolutely outstanding! Owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Food was my personal highlight. You can choose your activity from many options they offer. Beautiful view and very spacious area. Cabins are really cozy. Internet was very weak, however who cares, we came to this place to enjoy view, nature, animals and spend time outside, not to sit on our phones. Kind of nice to have poor connection to keep ourselves away from the phone :-)

What an exceptional destination. The peace and sheer beauty of the Cariboo descends upon you the moment you arrive. The ranch accommodations are deeply comfortable and the activities are innovative, fun, educational and energizing. Over three days I tried fly fishing, archery, took a horseback ride into the boreal forest, hiked and e-biked. I toured to the edge of the Fraser Canyon to experience magnificent views. I learned survival skills, shared wonderful conversations and interactions with the staff, and surrendered to the hands of incredible masseuses in the spa. A stay at Echo Valley Ranch is a special gift to oneself, a priceless experience. And the all inclusive farm-to-fork meals by Chef Kim Madsen were utterly incredible.

I stayed here for 3 nights to film some content for their social media and website; and it was a great mix of work and enjoying the ranch itself. The staff are all very attentive and caring, with Mike the manager being available at all times to make sure you have the best experience possible. Mia was very quick to learn all our first names when asking our dinner orders or any other questions, and she quickly unlocked my room that I accidentally locked myself out of, whoops haha.If you love animals or want to learn to, they have 3 dogs, plenty of horses, and some cats to get to know, all very friendly. The food was absolutely amazing, the views are stunning if you're going for a horseback ride, e-bike ride, or a hike.I hope to visit again in the winter to see the landscape blanketed in snow, and try out the different activities offered that time of year!

I can only say: Paradise on earth! Such a very special, very peaceful place with the most stunning views! Trees, mountains and valleys all around, it could not be more beautiful! We were in awe! Such a great place for the horses, with huge winter and summer pastures. Beautiful little ponds to try your luck fishing, or just sit on one of the many benches and listen to the gurgling creek. Endless trails for biking, hiking or horseback riding.I can’t even say what the highlight of our stay was, somehow they were all highlights. Let’s start with the food: The meals were superb. I probably had the best lamb and Thai dinner ever, despite having been to Greece and Thailand. But it wasn’t just the food itself, it was also the people preparing the food and the people sharing those meals with us. Such a kind and interesting team. And such fascinating conversations at meal times! By day three, I’m sure we all sounded like old friends, so much animated story sharing, teasing and laughter going on! A very special atmosphere with very special people! Clearly one of the highlights of our stay, much appreciated and enjoyed three times a day...! (We opted for the family style meals, but you could choose to eat by yourself as well.)There are so many interesting and different activities on offer, but the best thing is, you can be as busy, or quiet, as you want to be, your choice! We opted for horse harmony, trail rides, fly fishing, survival spirit and Spa treatments. Plus the daily morning Thai yoga, very different from the yoga we know, and such a great way to start the day! Together with the three meals a day, that kept us ample busy. But we also took our time to relax and just “be”. In this kind of place, we sometimes just wanted to stand by the paddock and watch the horses. Or enjoy the scenery, completely in awe. Or play with the dogs and cats…Having a Spa Treatment was yet another special treat! We tried the fusion treatment as well as the Thai massage. After that experience, I will probably switch from my usual deep tissue massages to Thai massages, I enjoyed it that much!Last but not least the trail rides. They can be as long or as short as you want them to be. We started out with the Horse Harmony to get to know our horses better and then off onto the trail rides, even though we were absolute beginners. Such fun riding through the forest on those beautiful animals! Seeing a bear from a safe distance was very exciting. We’ll forever cherish the beautiful pictures taken on those trail rides! We cannot thank our hosts and the whole Echo Valley team enough for this very special time we shared in their little piece of heaven. Thank you to all of you!Silke, Victoria BCPetra, Germany
