Hemlock Barbers

I really enjoy the atmosphere, music, and excellent people who work here. They are great barbers, and have good senses of humour - a must in my books! Try them out, you won't be let down!

Waited over an hour for a hot towel shave only for them to tell me once I finally sat down that they were not able to do me because their towel machine was off. I had already been a regular here for hot towel shaves so it would have at least been courtesy to tell me beforehand. I have also been knicked/bled a few times in the past due to rush. Owner is an honest, decent guy & the team gives solid, handsome cuts but since they have wasted my time, a loyal customer's time this is the review that they deserve. I don't think I will want to come back mostly to not have my time wasted again.

Just got a buzz cut there a few days ago. Excellent service and a great buzz cut. In these pandemic days, its nice to go to a small, clean shop like this and feel safe. Will be making this my" barber shop. thank you!"

Update: January 7, 2019 - I see two weeks ago, the owner has finally decided to reply to my 7 month old review with a weak statement referring to my account as awkwardly one sided" without having an alternative sequence of events to offer up. The fact that he still feels justified in physically assaulting a customer tells you all you need to know about this unstable weirdo. My review below is far more dignified than this place is even worthy of and I can't believe I ever gave my business to such an amateurish operation

10/10 would recommend this place. I travel a lot for the army and they have specific codes to have my hair short all the time so it gets kinda hard to find styles and it gets old fast but every time I come back home, I come here for not only the great hair cut and professionalism but for the people skills, friendliness and knowledge for how I can have more than just a buzz cut lol Only had to say a few words and they knew what I wanted. Stopped to check out the shop. Leslie immediately greeted me and got me in asap. The cut was awesome, the convo was awesome and I would recommend coming here to anyone needing a cut love the atmosphere, the decor and the music. I will be back. And they honored my medical exemption . 5 stars well deserved.

I used to be a regular at hemlock barbers, I followed Brad from when he worked at first choice. He was very rude to me on many occasions. He also regularly cut my hair much shorter than I asked him to, saying that he liked it better that way. The haircuts definitely aren't worth the money and the personal attacks.

Went to go get my hair cut after a year . Showed him a picture of what I wanted and ended up with a completely different haircut. While talking to him I mentioned that I like making music as a hobby and he started making fun of me for it . One side of my haircut was longer than the other. DONT GO HERE

I've been here a couple times and I have to say it's a pleasant experience. Love the music and the vibe in here. The prices are amazing by the way. I always shaved my own head and cut my own beard but for what they charge... Well worth it. I respect the cash only thing they got going on, feels more authentic. The only thing is, one of the barbers I got did not do the best job. I've had 5 of them and I didn't like 1 of my cuts. They didn't butcher it but they could have payed more attention and given me a better finished product. It was still a good cut, the best barber in my opinion is the youngest male. A good authentic experience, makes you feel like a boss after getting a beard and hair cut. Recommended for the rebellious souls and men with beards of old.

The owner was nice, but i dont think he realized that he made a mistake... as you can see in the pictures the left side of my haircut is not blended in. 30$ for a haircut also seems expensive... I’m from down south and the most I’ve ever had to pay for a haircut is 20$Edit: I actually got an amazing haircut for 17$ where I’m from. The fade was one of the cleanest that I’ve ever had and i showed the barber the review, the reply and the cut that i had gotten and he laughed so hard he had to stop for a few minutes
