Unfinished Business Renovations

Ron and Kim were outstanding from beginning to end. Correspondence was on going, which is rare these days. Ron is very professional, dedicated and respectful. Delightful people to know and trust. We will definitely call them again for future projects and we highly recommend them. Our deck is looking great.

Ron was able to salvage and reconfigure some old, disassembled shelving in my basement which greatly reduced the cost of materials, finished all of the remaining trim on my first floor with exacting attention to detail, replaced some old boards on my deck, and Kim was able to deep clean and rejuvenate my sadly neglected deck, bringing it back to its former glory, all of which exceeded my expectations. They also went above and beyond in tracking down hard to find, discontinued materials and in providing helpful ideas, tips, and information that will aid me in some smaller, DIY projects I will be able to manage myself.Ron and Kim both work skillfully on their own and also make a great, solid team! They are professional, friendly, reliable, prompt, thoughtful, hard and steady workers, and I would definitely hire them again for any future projects. I give them my highest recommendation without hesitation.

I hired Ron to install a railing for my elderly father. The current contractor was awful and Ron did his best to rectify the situation with the other contractor before proceeding. With no luck Ron installed the railings for my Dad making it safe for him to exit and enter his home and even offered to return in the spring to fix the other contractors awful job. Ron did this under budget and in time for the bad weather which you can’t put a dollar amount on. Ron’s consideration for the urgency and his compassion was absolutely incredible. The railings look great and my Dad is so happy! I wouldn’t hesitate to contact Ron Funnel for any future project! He is truly a professional and an absolute gem!

Ron met with Mother and I , he was very professional, explained his businesses model and gave us a little history of where he came from in the industry.The quote was provided very quickly after seeing what was needed to be done. Price guaranteed over the winter as it was too late in 2022 to start job. Communication was wonderful and he even accommodated Mother’s flower gardens. Both front and back deck were elevated safely for Mother to walk in and out safely. The side entrance was totally rebuilt and looks far beyond our expectations! Job was finished as promised, no sneaking off halfway through to do another project. We were all very impressed with his work and work ethics. Highly recommend!

Ron and Kim turned an old bare basement into a cosy bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette. They truly transformed the area. Both were very pleasant to work with, offering great improvement suggestions and making sure I new what was going on. Great attention to detail and true perfectionists. Thanks for making my time looking after my Mom more pleasant. I enjoyed working with them.

We have had Kim and Ron come in a few times to take care of various projects for us. Their work has truly impressed us. Ron and Kim brought our kitchen cupboards and island up to date. They did an excellent job of painting and also repaired tile flooring where the caulking was crumbling. They are perfectionists in their work. Will definitely hire them again.

From start to finish our doggy ramp was handled perfectly. When they came out to quote the job they were friendly and had some great ideas since I wasn't sure what we wanted besides just a ramp". The quote and timing came in perfectly and we are extremely happy with the job. In addition to the ramp they built an enclosure for our garden to keep the dogs out of our vegetable garden and rabbits as well. We'll definitely call on Unfinished Business when we have more things we need help with!"
