Really friendly office staff helped me out with the drop-off, as it was my first time selling scrap (old car battery, but they take other metals too.) I walked out with cash in hand just a few minutes later. Excellent service!

These people are 100% criminals.Google“Urbanmine stolen silver”You would think that 3rd generation scrap buyers would know that raw silver ingot slabs were stolen. Plus they blame Vale mine for not better protecting their property.These people are the disgrace of the community and industry.

The guys working the scales in the shop weighing my non ferrous metals were very rushed and couldn't be bothered to tell me that they scaled all of my copper wire as a whole and charged me the lowest grade possible, (which i had multiple types of gauges)I had clean aluminum, they scaled all of my dirty aluminum with my clean aluminum and again charged me a low rate because they couldn't be bothered.I came in expecting a great service from this company like I usually get. What happened in the shop the other day was unacceptable and I feel ripped off.

I was having a super hard time finding a metal and one morning I called this place and they had it and what they had always perfect, nice and friendly staff 10/10 experience will shop there again

Great staff but pricing is absolutely horrible. Urban pays 50 cents a pound for data cable and rakowski pays 1.38 a pound. Go there instead. Edit: appreciate the response, however an almost dollar difference per pound is a MASSIVE difference that can't really be overlooked, I know prices do change but to say .50 cents is competitive" wouldn't be truthful

I had never been before so I found the steps involved a little confusing where do I drop off the different materials how do I sort and so on. Some some type of signage would have been helpful, there might have been some but I did not see it. Having done it once now I will certainly be back to do it again and encourage my friends and family to do this.

What a great company. Easy to deal with and great management. Responded to my issue immediately and went above and beyond to be helpful. Definitely in my good book.

Quick and easy to get in and out of their yard. Staff is friendly and pleasant to deal with.They do not pay as much for material compared to the competition. It is the only yard in the South West corner of the city, which sets them apart from the others if saving travel time is important if you live nearby. The yard is often full (their reason they gave me for paying less than others) but they keep it organized and easy to navigate.There's not much room in the yard if there are multiple trucks unloading so I tend to 'stage' or unstrap and unstrap my load on the street by the railroad tracks to avoid congestion and wait times before proceeding into their yard.I miss the chocolates they used to have on the desk for the customers, before Covid.I'd give them 5 stars if they were at par with prices their competitors offer, or at least willing to price match if brought up in conversation.
