Trying to get taxes done...... 2 weeks and counting...... Countless questions and working around someone's schedule as they work from home. Not impressed the slightest. Now months after audit, asked not use freedom of speech, had very pushy staff, Kieth district manager does horrible follow up, getting phone calls at work and emergency room for my son..... Feb 22 2023 and counting from November of 2023

I been coming to hr block do my t4 and others the service and maners are so beyand very sad20 years now i have to go to a diffrent tax officewhat with you pple hire fob

I simply called there today to ask a question about my taxes. The lady on phone was extremely rude and racist towards me. Simply asking a question on phone to get appointment seemed like asking too much from her. She cut me several times in the conversation and was totally disrespectful. I will never get my taxes from here if this is how they treat people.

Well getting taxes done we all know is not fun, with that being said I had the joy of getting my taxes done with Penny at this location. She was absolutely amazing, talkative caring and explained everything to me. Printed off everything so I had it. Even though I was being told I owed on my taxes I still left in a good mood, which is weird. She's an absolute gem. I'll be going to her for as long as she is working for them. Thank you penny!

My partner and I dropped our taxes off at the end of May. This was for US tax preparation. The person preparing them seemed nice enough and stated he had 15 people in front of us. So we thought it may be a month or two before we heard anything.Fast forward to today. I called a few days ago just checking in on what was going on. And nobody had the time to phone me back? So I called yesterday and am not sure at all as to what’s going on.When I asked I was told to phone back on Tuesday. This has me a little worried as to where my paperwork is…..and if I can trust these guys. My partner and I are pretty easy going and have decently easy taxes.I really hope that they sort this out….and we get all of our paperwork back in one piece…..

I was helped by Lucy and WOW! Stellar service. I am an immigrant student and felt very intimidated by taxes—Lucy was nonjudgemental, communicative, kind, and went above and beyond for me. I highly recommend Lucy’s services and will continue to file with her. Congrats H&R New Westminster for having such an awesome staff member!

I've been using this place for nine years, and I can't recommend it to anyone anymore. I don't know what happened from last year to this year, but their service is awful and you're better off going somewhere else.I tried to do my taxes and ended up with someone named Dileepa. He is the worst employee I've encountered from H&R Block. I gave him all my tax forms and explained everything to him. Despite three explanations of my forms, he still had no idea what Twitch TV was, and did not understand the idea of making money on the internet. Holding paper documents in his hand somehow didn't make sense, and he asked me to e-mail him all my tax forms. He pulled my T4 information from the CRA website and there was a second T4 present. I told him there should be only one, and he printed the CRA information to show me. Then he gave me a number for the CRA, but it didn't work. When I showed him my phone, clearly indicating there was no sound or connection from the number he gave me, he insisted it was the correct number. I used Google and got a different CRA number that worked. Why did he give me the wrong number and lie to me about it?I asked him if he could use the T4 information on the page he printed for me to finish my taxes. He said: Then you can use it!"So I agreed

I have been filing my taxes with H &R block since 2019 and there’s no other place that I’d ever go to file my taxes in future. Filing taxes is so easy and convenient here, My taxes are always done by Penny!! She is great and I am so happy with her service! 100% recommended!

If there was a zero that would be more appropriate. I had my taxes done by Gopala. He does not take the time to look through the information you provide. He get things done fast but not efficient, which left me dealing with and owing the government money because he enters improper information and doesn't check the dates of the information hes entering. Rookie mistake. Front desk lady is rude and the h&r block representative told me that I should read over my paper work so i dont miss things,but will not hold his staff responsible for reading over or checking the dates of the information presented while doing their job.!!! Just banging in numbers. Definitely lost my business

I came here with no knowledge about taxes however Penny was great and helped me through the whole process. Penny is so kind & friendly. She even made taxes fun! Can't wait to come back next year :-)
