Me and my boyfriend go 2-3 times every year and it’s my favourite! Chef and wife are really nice and give you the best food! $300 is steep but worth every penny! Have to try at least once in your life!

Love the cozy and intimate setting. Portions are generous. Loved the uni, kamatoro, and nodoguro!

I've had omakase in many parts of the world including Japan and this was truly the best experience I had. Chef Jin and his wife were exceptionally friendly yet professional. Even though I was dining alone, he made sure that I still received adequate attention and engaged in good convo. Now for the food. Just wow. Every dish was crafted with so much thought, and you can tell how he put all his experience and knowledge of seasonal ingredients into creating the menu. There were some truly unique dishes you don't find outside Japan, like shirako. Even for the nigiri, there were elements of creativity like fried truffle on ika (squid). Everything was exquisite and delightful to eat.It was truly an honor to dine with Chef Jin that night. Thank you for the incredible hospitality!

ATTENTION!!! READ THIS BEFORE YOU COME HERE!!!Sushi Jin was really awesome. I had a pleasant set timing premium omakase at sushi jin! I love how thechef is very experimental and made the taste of sushi tasting so amazing! I am really thankful to the chef for making my night super pleasant! They are all just awesome! Even the miso soup, the chopstick, the napkin, the tea they all look nice! I love all the plating and the preparation of the sashimi. I have tried so many omakase around the world, and to be honest, this is the best omakase I’ve tried in Vancouver! Totally worth the $179 omakase and you guys should try it. I would totally recommend this place!!! And I would come back again for its omakase again!Just things to be reviewed. I personally don’t like the dessert and the snow crab since they don’t fit perfectly. Maybe consider to change this?

We came here to celebrate our anniversary and it was such an amazing dining experience. We chose omakase combo C and left with a full and satisfied stomach. The food was very fresh and the sauce was a perfect match. I specifically love the Uni. It was so sweet and creamy. The chef did not cheap on the portion. Every bite was so satisfied. Highly recommended and will definitely go back again.

The food is very fresh here and I would have to say it’s one of the better omasakes, however we tipped 18 % on the bill and the server had a look on her face as if it wasn’t enough and then whispers something to another server right infront of us. Not sure why 18% tip on top of total isn’t enough. That was very off putting. Tipping isn’t mandatory and as a consumer I am happy to tip, but this experience made me never want to come back here. Lots of other sushi spots in Vancouver that provides quality food with better service attitude.

As a person who know and appreciates good sushi I can definitely vouch for this place. The restaurant is nice and the layout and design was great. But most importantly the quality of the food was exceptional. The nigiri has just the right combination of great quality and temperature rice matched with great quality fish. The uni although not from Japan was also very good and fresh. The service was also fantastic and this spot has definitely made it into my list of great sushi places in Vancouver.

I went this place last week. It was absolutely the best sushi I’ve ever had in Vancouver. It was another level of sushi comparing to other sushi places.I don’t normally eat either Ikura or Saba since they are quite fishy to me. However, both of them were extremely tasty here. The bluefin tuna belly was just melting in my mouth... the entire time I was there, I couldn’t stop smiling from the joy of the food.I highly recommend this place. Definitely the best sushi in Vancouver!

Best! It is my first Omakase experience in Vancouver for my birthday. When my husband booked this restaurant, I wasn't sure if it was worth it for the price of $300 pp, but I was wrong. They use excellent ingredients from Japan. My favourite piece was Bluefin Tuna Otoro Hagashi. It was melting in my mouth. Chef Jin presented masterfully to us and explained every detail. The staffs are very attentive and helpful. When we asked for sake recommendations, Tery happily explained and recommended which one would be good to pair with the course.I strongly recommend people try Omakase in this place if they haven't experienced any premium restaurants like this before. We will definitely be back for sure.

Their quality of food is great but considering the price point ($300 per person) they should match it with better customer service. Compared to other omakases in Vancouver, I felt that Sushi Jin lacked structure and experience. The chef kept on trying to make small talk with a couple of customers which meant the whole service was delayed and other customers were sitting around and waiting (everyone was sitting at the bar). It was more of Chef Jin trying to practise his English speaking…The server was also not the most professional. Food was delicious but I wouldn’t dine in again at their price point & service.
