In going through a major renovation, that included a kitchen gut, Maryann and her team helped to create a timeless update to a century house. Maryann was a joy to work with from design to inception. I was blown away by the options Truax was able to provide and the price points. I really appreciated the time Maryann took in listening to what my needs and goals where with the kitchen. The cabinetry and all the trim work/ attention to details as I like to call it is amazing. Also the shelves inside work on a peg system so you are able to adjust as needed. I absolutely love this space and highly recommend Truax for your home renovation needs.

Used Truax for new home construction.Ordered barn doors, but they literally don’t fit the space next to the door. Refuses to take them back because he “told us they only come in one size.” This is their responsibility, to make sure the doors they provide fit the space!Asked for French glass 15-pane doors, he said they don’t make them anymore and we can’t get them. We’re forced to make a different selection, and he suggests we frost the glass in the bedroom. Then we find them in stock everywhere we look, all of a sudden he can provide those for us, BUT doesn’t apply the frosted glass selection to these so we now have to find someone else to do this for us.One of our doors has a defect in it, but is already installed and painted, so I’m sure this exchange will be refused as well, though this is still ongoing so I can’t confirm that as of yet.Overall just a terrible experience.

Great place to do business with. Maryann took very good care of us. We had built in cabinets installed in our bedroom. They gave us great ideas, different options based on budget, and the installers were on time, professional and did a great job. Would definitely do business again.

Since purchasing my home 3.5 years ago, I have hired Truax to complete numerous outdoor projects, including a new fence, front and back porches and entry gate. I cannot tell you how many compliments I have received from neighbours and visitors. I couldn't be happier with the results!!!

Due to a unfound water leak in our dishwasher we were required to replace our kitchen cabinets and floor in the dinning room of our house. MaryAnn from Truax Design Center came to our assistance and came up a design that was excellent and suited our requirements.She assisted in colour and layout. Paul our installer was excellent and completed an excellent job. Shannon helped with the entire process and we couldn't be happier.Working with Shannon, we had quick and clear communication regarding timelines and what to expect, this made planning super easy. Couldn't be happier with my experience using Truax. I redid my entire kitchen and Maryann and Shannon were so helpful with everything from the cabinets to paint colour. They knew the exact style and price point that I wanted and made great suggestions for functionality and design of the kitchen. They really know what they're talking about. They were always quick to get back to me which I really appreciated. I love supporting local businesses which made my choice to use them even better. I also used them to purchase all the lumber for our chicken coop and they carry a huge selection. In regards to the below comment about shelving height, the cabinets are built to change this whenever you want, the pegs just need to be adjusted. I've changed mine a few times based on what I put in them.

I called Truax in 2022 asking about cabinetry for our laundry room. I was told they were busy but that they'd contact me to let me know if they could fit us in. We never heard back, so in 2023 in I called again to inquire. They told me they threw out my previous request (!) because they were fully booked, but that someone would contact me this time. It's been a week and still nothing. If they didn't want my business the least they could do is be honest about that up front.
