Mathnasium

Alvin and the Mathnasium team are extremely professional and friendly. My kids have benefited greatly over the past few months and actively look forward to coming here through the week. I would highly recommend!

Friendly, clean, bright facility. Staff and program help my kids to enjoy and learn math. We have tried different programs in the past and they never looked forward in attending sessions like they do here.

We are very impressed with the Mathnasium learning method and their teams both Collingwood and North Van. They have made our daughter confident by working with her to create a firm foundation and improve her math skills. When she started in June 2020, she was using basic tools to help with her number computation such as finger counting and drawing circles. In just 4 months she had completed topics such as Double Facts, Complements of 10, Subtraction Facts, Missing addends, even and odd numbers, and is now able do mental math and has become more independent as they are moving to more complex topics.If you are looking for tutoring at its finest, look no further.…. this is it!Thank you, Alvin, Kris, Ralu for all the support and feedback along the way.

My 9 year old daughter was never confident in math but after taking Mathnasium for the past 10 months, she's not only more confident at math but achieving top marks in math at school. She enjoys going to the Mathnasium centre. All the teachers are young and relate well with the kids. Kids are also encouraged to bring homework from school if they need help. I would highly recommend Mathnasium to any kids that say they suck in math""

Our son has always enjoyed math. Through their free assessment, we figured out his current standing including areas of weakness and strengths. Mathnasium was able to answer all of his questions, filling any gaps in previous learning and leaving him now with a very solid foundation to build upon. His love and confidence in numbers has continued to grow and as parents we couldn’t be more pleased to send him to a positive environment like this where the fun is in the learning.

My kids have been attending since June 2020. Since March when the pandemic hit, I was struggling with teaching them concepts of math for my grade 4 and 6 children. One day I walked past this location and noticed a free assessment sign. I called them to schedule an assessment Initially just for my grade 4. I appreciated the time the director took to explain how the assessment went. I was also quite impressed with their Covid protocols and ease of sign up for future sessions. They had an offer for the summer so it worked well. So I decided to take my grade 6 here too! Fast forward 4 months now and my kids have never complained about having to go to math. Even after a long day as school (9-5) they are excited to attend at 6:30pm for their last session of the day. They have asked their classmates to come and I have shared our experience with other school parents and they seem to be enjoying it so far. I ask my kids after each session / day and they tell me how many pages they’ve done and it’s great to see them talking about math like they do now compared to 4 months ago! After attending one month, my kids improved their skills drastically. Thanks to the staff for teaching the best methods the little one. I think the skills will help tremendously as the kids go to higher grade. My kids especially love this place and can't wait to go back the next day.
