Bulk Barn

Went to the Bulk Barn for the second time since the Covid outbreak. They were doing it right! There was a short line of 4 people, and they would only let a small number in at a time. They had hand sanitizer and those cheap (but effective) plastic gloves to wear. They ask you to use the sanitizer on the gloves before going in. When it's your turn, a staff member gives you a sanitized cart and accompanies you with their own cart full of scoops, bags, tags and whatever. You tell them what and how much you want and THEY scoop it out and put it in the bag. Then the scoop is sent to be washed, not reused in the bin One and done"

Was in to grab some stuff when the manager took a complaint via phone call, at the till. All the customers could hear. She was polite and firm. The customer on the phone said something that she wasnt allowed to take time off because she was on minimum wage. After the the call was finished most of the workers gathered around her. She started going off about how rude he was and statedi dont care who he is ill punch him in the face" several times. The children in the store looked scared. I felt it was very unprofessional. It was hard to understand my clerk with all the slang he was using. He was upset he had to wear gloves and no one had name tags on."

Every time I go there I spend too much money awesome place to purchase candy and the marshmallows they sell are awesome.

The layout of the store was good and staff were helpful. As a first time visit I could not easily find the bag tags to label the contents of my purchase. All the tags seemed to be at the back of the store with none to be found at the front.

Last time I was here, they were supposed to have out my order together, but when I arrived, they hadn't. The time before that, it took almost an hour because they had to go with you and scoop forn you. Although I appreciate the early COVID measures for safety, it was a pain.Fast forward to now, and it is fairly normal. It was quick and the people were helpful.

What a wonderful experience. I may never enter the store again, I love that I ordered, just gave approx quantities and it was all ready a few hours later. Totally positive experience!!!

I bought jumbo cashews and dried cranberries. The cashews were nice and salty and roasted well. The cranberries were very tart and sweet; just how I like them.

Very good selection, but frequently out of stock on items I am seeking (whereas Barton Street location always seems to have them). Very good customer service and covid protocol. You need to use their coupons in order to compensate for products being somewhat overpriced.

High turnover with employees, as all are part time. Owner cuts corners and will sell anything to make a profit. As a former employee, I have also seen roaches, maggots, moths, fruit flies AND bees at both locations. Buyer beware.

Well stocked for the baker a d any one with a sweet tooth. Staff is beyond great
