Awesome school, great teachers and nice students. Can be a bit hard to grasp something, but its a great tool for anyone interested in homeschooling but who doesn't like being completely alone.

Too stressful. Workload is much heavier than brick and mortar schools; alongside, be ready to spend extra hours of your day taking notes and attending live classes. I barely got time to do other things in my day because of the heavy workload in all courses. Teachers are generally hard markers, too. Don’t recommend unless you have no other options..

It's too bad that as a parent, you are not treated with a bit more kindness by Jacqueline during such an uncertain time. The pandemic is not all that we are dealing with at home as a family and a bit of kindness and patience goes a long way. Remember, when we choose to work with children (I am an educator) we are doing it for the CHILDREN!Families should always come first. You never know what someone is going through.

This is going on to be my second year with VLC. It's a great experience to learn by. I thought it would be hard to do my classes at my brick and mortar school plus my VLC class but my teacher was very understanding. It's an amazing school and I must say that the teachers are way better than the teachers at my brick and mortar school every class is well constructed, you can always tell when your next assignment is due!10/10 recommend!!

This is my rating as a parent trying to register my child for a course. Ease of application is fairly good; website is well set-up. Uploading required documentation is fairly smooth if you have some knowledge with computers. Payment is by credit card over the phone or by cheque in the mail. My biggest complaint is that if you have questions, the receptionists on the phone always refer you back to emails. Even if you have a question not addressed by the email, they tersely claim that everything is in the email. A little compassion for us first-timers, please! Hopefully my rating will change as the course is in session.

This school has been a fantastic option for our family. My three teenagers attend the VLC and it has been a great experience. The teachers are caring and engaged. (ok, there was one bad apple, but that is excusable). This is an excellent school. But beware, you student must be self motivated and take control of his own learning. This is not a school for slackers.

Mixed feelings about this school. Some of the teachers are wonderful and really put in the effort with their students, despite the online environment. Other teachers are condescending and only care about if you're getting the work done. Both of these experiences were fairly reflective in the grades, which is sad. At the end of the day, for the most part, they only care about if you're getting the grades to uphold their reputation, and if you're not, then good luck lol because they will kick you out and become hands off. If you're planning to attend this school due to special circumstances, then don't expect them to care.
