Based on my experience, I would give a negative rating. I recommend providing training to the owner on how to handle customers better. Instead of coming to this location for U-Haul services, I would prefer choosing another one. The customer service provided here is absurd.

If I could choose 0 star I would have for the experience. On Sunday July 3 2021 me and my uncle walked in to rent a truck right away Jacky aka XIANSHUN CHEN notices that I am going to be using my credit card for my uncle to rent the truck because we didn’t know if we could pay cash. Then Jackie makes a comment stating that I’m the boss and belittles my uncle right in front of him. I’m the boss because I’m using the credit card that is. Then he goes on to say are we going to return it by midnight not letting us know that when you pay for one day that means is 24 hours. While he was making the Smalltalk my credit card was bouncing and I have money on my credit card I just used it a couple of minutes ago he did not know how to process the transaction with my credit card Then I left because we found out that we don’t have to pay with the credit card my uncle stayed to rent the truck and Jackie told my uncle that he’s never rented a U-Haul and he’s making small talk instead of getting straight to the point in renting the truck. Long story short, Uncle felt insulted and the next day which is today I am out my uncle is moving and we get messages and calls stating that they’re going the U-Haul is going to report the truck missing without Jackie telling us if we wanted to extend it. This has been the worst experience with U-Haul a.k.a. Jackie Aka XIANSHUN CHEN. Thank you for the experience.

Was rerouted to this location a few days before my move. I had an unprofessional text message sent to my personal phone asking to confirm pick up. I had checked- in online as recommended by Uhaul and thought that was sufficient. I was unable to pick up my truck at the time I needed but instead had to wait for the store to open which threw our plans off. So we were a half hour late picking up our truck, but by this time I kept getting phone calls about picking up the truck when we had just pulled in. The male calling me was upset because it was a super busy day for him for truck pick ups and I was late, but yet none of the trucks were looking like even remotely picked up, nor any tire tracks on the ground from them recently moved.I get into the store and the male doing our paper work complained for around 5 minutes about how I didnt answer his text message which I kept saying, it was from an unknown number from an area code not in Durham Region and the language was simply unprofessional and I checked in online via the recommended uhaul way. Not to mention I asked for contactless pick up... and this male never once washed his hands nor gave me a clean pen to sign the forms with.I would not recommend this location for pick up. Disrespectful and rude. I made sure to take tons of pictures and do a 360 sweep of the uhaul before I left as I didnt want to be dinged for anything, there was garbage on the floor in the cabin and the back wasnt swept out, and the gas tank was less then half full.

On returning the truck, the attendant overcharged me by $25.55 (incl. Tx.) When I challenged it he simply said call Uhaul. First he had refused to give me my receipt then and there. He kept saying it would be emailed. Only after I insisted, did I realize that he was overcharging me for the truck. When I picked up the truck, it was just over half tank. I drove 40 klms. and filled $12.00 gas. He said I should have added $23.00 gas. What a joke.

The representative is not properly trained and has some language issues. I was a walk in customer who wanted to rent a Uhaul. She had to call someone up to walk her through the process(in some other language) but she still could not get it. I ended up doing the process on my phone and just took the keys from her. I would suggest others to do the same.
