We had the best lunch here today.The food was amazing, the green tea was comforting and our server was the nicest lady. The music was also very relaxing. We can't wait to return.

We have gone to the Matsu Sushi on Hunter St. since it opened and the quality had always been good, but last week I ordered a spicy salmon crispy hand roll and Korean spinach salad. My husband order a beef roll. The salmon sushi was a mash of something fishy but there were no pieces of salmon. It actually tasted like sawdust paste. The hand roll was very packed but also unpalatable.The spinach salad had no seasoning except sesame seeds. It simply tasted like cold boiled spinach. I was shocked. I’d rather pay a little more and get a decent meal. Don’t think I’ll be going back. Ordering-in is a treat for us.I’m disappointed and saddened.

My fiancé and I ordered from here through skip the dishes. I order all vegetarian stuff(as i am pregnant and can not eat any of the none vegetarian stuff) and my fiancé got normal" sushi

Would definitely recommended Matsu Sushi! This is the first sushi place I’ve ordered from since moving to Peterborough, and it did not disappoint. I ordered delivery and it was fresh and made with care. Every piece and different type of sushi was equally delicious. Will definitely order again.

Edit to reply to the response from the owner:Firstly, I have been to your restaurant more than one time as a customer. I can even tell you that I liked to eat at the desk on the right side of the door. So I think I have the right to leave a comment.Secondly, you are more than welcome to report to Uber about this issue, cuz I have already contacted them right after we have this issue in the afternoon. And they have confirmed that I was correct that having an insulated bag is OPTIONAL. Therefore, it is on your side that was under the misinformation in the first place. So I suggest you do communicate with them, properly this time.Lastly, I did not try to yell at you in any sort, and I certainly do not understand why you would interpret my words in that way. I even suggested that there should be a something like a button in your system to filter out dilivery person with no insulated bag. On the reverse, you behaved in an unacceptable manner, by simply kept repeating that you don't wanna argue, and that the fault is on me, so I should cancel the order.It is a pity that as an Asian, I did like you food as one of the few Asian restaurant in town. But I take my dilivery order seriously, I have had many great customers before, and I do not want to disappoint them. That's why I have never, ever, cancel an order before. As a matter of fact, I actually sat in my car and spent 10 minutes try to figure out how to do so.So in one word, I believe I present myself in an acceptable way, and being as reasonable as possible. If you do not agree with so, please do talk to Uber about this issue. Because I certainly hope that this issue would never happen to you or any other dilivery person again.Xueyu

Definitely recommend! Beautiful atmosphere, great food, and very nice service (not overbearing). We are not from the area, and we looked for a place to take a break from the road, we were so lucky to find this gem! As a vegetarian, I recommend the veggie fried rice :)

This place was great. We loved the private little booths they have. The sushi itself was very very good. My wife and I each had one of their lunch specials. The quality of the fish (salmon, tuna) was top notch and it was pretty good value for a non-all-you-can-eat sushi joint. Would recommend this place!

I’ve been going here for years through the old owners and now the new owners. I’m always happy. I would easily say it’s the best sushi in Peterborough. It’s a little pricey but we’ll worth it.The staff are always friendly and the service is good if you dine in.

Extremely disappointing. I ordered a Salmon teriyaki and received the most burnt piece of salmon I have ever seen. On top of that the miso soup was straight salt with water, No flavor or seasoning. I used to loved this place but after this experience I will never be returning.
