Love this salon! I was aware of Heartwood for years but it wasn’t until I happened to meet a stylist, Lindsay, at an event who encouraged me to come in after I told her I always wanted to lighten my hair. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease, even though I was unsure what I even wanted as I had not been to a stylist very much before. She made some great suggestions based on my hair type. I came out with the best hair beyond what I could’ve imagined. She remains my go to stylist to this day. The atmosphere here is relaxing and beautiful. Highly recommend.

Can't recommend enough! I had Irene for a haircut and style and came out feeling like a new and more confident person. Not only did she make sure I was comfortable throughout, she listened to my vision and executed it expertly while incorporating her own unique style. I've been getting compliments all week. Irene was incredible! The studio is beautiful, bright and open. They were accommodating for my last minute bookings and were able to take my sister and I at the same time. Irene was my stylist and her open and welcoming personality made me feel comfortable and relaxed. She cut and colored my hair absolutely Perfectly. She is a great listener and her genuine care and attention to detail while cutting, coloring and styling my hair was amazing. Her infectious personality made the whole experience! I will be going back regularly and I highly recommend Irene and Heartwood & Co.!!

Irene did a BEAUTIFUL job on a maintenance cut for my pixie! Great cut- they really cared about making sure my hair was what I wanted and gave great tips for styling and upkeep. Also, they were just a wonderful person to chat with and be around. I left feeling great about the experience and my hair. Will DEFINITELY be going back to see them and Heartwood whenever I’m in Victoria! Thanks again!

I get my lashes done by Alyssa regularly - literally travelling from the Cowichan Valley to come see her! I have been having my lashes done on and off for 10 years, and do *a lot* of searching and reviews before getting my lashes done by anyone. I have to say, Alyssa is incredible. *So* detailed, so focused on eyelash health and does an absolutely incredible job. Go Alyssa!

The studio itself is lovely, quiet, and clean. Staff are polite and professional. I got my highlights done with Irene and adored not just the result, but also the process itself. Irene truly understands the art and science of making me look and feel beautiful and has walked me through every step as she was completing it. This made me feel respected and taken care of. It’s been two years since anyone’s touched my hair and I was nervous about a little bit of change. Lindsay was an absolute treat to work with, I felt very comfortable in her seat and she gives off such wonderful chill vibes. She clearly wants you to look your best! She’s professional and yet so down to earth, I’ll definitely be going back to see her from now on. She obviously loves her job and literally creates art with hair, but leaves you with something you can manage and control when you’re out of the salon. Amazing woman!!

I recently had the pleasure of getting by hair done by the lovely Aila at Heartwood & Co. Not only did she immediately create a warm and welcoming atmosphere (that continued the entire time I was in her chair) but she listened to every request I had for my hair. Aila truly went above and beyond to make sure we were on the same page and that I was getting exactly what I wanted. My hair has been given new life and I am so excited to continue my hair journey with her. Hair is an art and she is an absolutely wonderful artist. If you plan on booking here, ask for her. You will not be disappointed.

I only planned to go in once to get my nails done for fun, as i work a pretty hands-on job, but had such a warm and friendly experience with Sherry (one of the nail artists), that ive gotten my nails done regularly with her ever since! At my first appointment, Sherry boldly tried a marbled gold detailed leopard pattern that she had never tried before and was totally game and willing to do whatever it took to have me leaving happy with my art - which i was! Ive gotten so many compliments on my nails with Sherry’s work, even from strangers. And my time with her is always relaxing, understanding and fun. Sherry has also really gotten to know my style and tastes so she offers cool patterns and styles that are to my liking, its a great collaborative process! The space at Heartwood is also gorgeous! Modern and spacious and bright and relaxing. I love this place! Top quality service forsure. I keep coming back :)
