Loblaws Mclaughlin Road

I’m leaving this review for the woman that worked in the Samosa section last night.Customer service is not the most exciting job in the world and this review is probably irrelevant to the business itself.She asked me how I was doing, I actually said “I’m having a bad day.” After she handed me my Samosa she said “it’ll get better.”I don’t know something about this small yet kind interaction made me feel better.Thank you!

Great supermarket with anything you need, groceries, clothes, hot food, deli, etc. the store is super clean with helpful staff and check out is a breeze. Hope to come back in the future for all my grocery needs.

The food offerings are more than sufficient; however, staffing is an issue. I have waited unacceptable amounts of time for both the deli and checkout cashier. Most days there are no more than 2 cashiers, express lanes unavailable and 5+ people in each line. The last time I was there was an untrained staff on the cash out line who was scanning each item of the same product 20 times. The people in front were clearly buying multiple items in bulk and she had no idea how to imput a quantity. On top of everything, there were some manual discounts she had to imput but was unaware how to apply this to the whole grouping. She called various staff for assistance but overall was not equipped to be one of only 2 cashiers on. Note that I should mention, this was 2pm in the afternoon. Would hate to see how this store functions during busier times. I ended up leave my groceries after unloading onto the coveyor belt after waiting 25 minutes with no acknowledgement or apology. Another lane was eventually opened after many complaints; however, as i was next in line, no one honoured the order and the shoppers from the back of the line were serviced at that cashier. It was all disappinting and highly frustrating. Service needs to desperately be improved.

This place is in need of a renovation. The ones in Toronto look so much nicer. It would be good to get that premium feel when shopping for your groceries that match the premium prices on the shelves.

It'd have been 4 stars. However there was only a one cashier active for people with more than 16 items. I dared to go thru one of the 16 items or less, despite having like 20 items. I'm 64 years old and don't deserve the wait.

Worst service ever!!! (except for the ladies at bakery they’re wonderful).Went there this morning to buy a birthday cake and a cashier lady broke it by bagging it in wrong way. Instead of facing up the cake’s face, she faced up the cake’s side and messed it up. When I asked for an exchange, she blamed me not taking well care of it and rudely asked me go exchange by myself. Of course I said no as I was not the one who messed it up.Either she was too lazy to put the cake correctly, or she was unknowledgeable and didn’t know how to do it… whatever the reason was, she’s not suitable for that job! Outright rude and lacking of service-minded!

This is a great Loblaws! The selection is great, the store is always very clean and orderly, and staff is very friendly. They also have a great selection of flowers and plants with lots of seasonal options. The line can be a bit long on a busy day but it usually moves pretty quickly. I love visiting Loblaws for all the fancy cheeses, baked goods, and products you can't get at No Frills. Highly recommend!

Good variety of fresh vegetables ( a bit pricey) overall it's good but lately have had not so good experience at the bakery section. They have reduced the cupcakes significantly or is it coincidence I go thrice In a row only to my disappointment. I had enquired about birthday cake previously and customer service at this section was very rude to barely answer my questions.It's a decent spot but bakery section can improve!

Needs computerisad improvement. Tower clock is showing wrong time. Actually slow.

Customer service at it's finest. Just had the most wonderful experience with Bharti at the self check out. She really went out of her way to help me ensure that the orchid I got made it home safe and sound. I'd give her 10 stars if I could. Giving this review only 4 stars is not a reflection on customer care, but on the overall store. Prices are unnecessarily waaaaay too high. And many things aren't even priced. I walked around in circles in the flower section trying to figure out what cost what. Similarly in the Easter chocolate section. Half the items were not priced. I don't like being surprised at the check out, yet there I was. Very frustrating. But again, thank you to Bharti for all her help.
