Angelo's Garden Centre
I've been to this garden centre for a few years and they have a great selection of flowers & vegetables/herbs (only things I shopped for). They are also reasonably priced and the place is clean and well organized. The employees are also helpful and the customer service is good.

Very good garden centre with large variety of plants at reasonable prices. The owner is very accommodative and I always have a good experience interacting with him.

Greatest collection of mature plants and flowers. Always look forward to the May 24 weekend as it starts the gardening wars. Hope this place sticks around for awhile and doesnt sell out to developers. Bravo Angelo!

Angelo's doesn't look like much from Highway 7; in fact, it looks a bit run down, but don't let that fool you, this is a proper garden centre. The pros:By urban standards, this place is HUGE. Whereas most mainstream garden centres (Eg. Sheridan Nurseries, Home Depot, or other major retailers) are measured in square feet, this one is over 5 ACRES. This allows them to offer a complete selection of trees, shrubs, plants, garden flowers, and herbs (even rare options like 10' fig trees). The quantities of any given plant they have in stock far exceed what you would find at other garden centres. They also carry soils, gravel, garden statues, and other gardening supplies. This comprehensive assortment means that they are a top choice for professional landscapers, and also have a selection of vehicles, ranging from pickup trucks to full-size dump trucks, for deliveries to your site. Finally, I found their staff to be far more knowledgeable than the ones you would find at typical big box retailers. The cons:On the downside, as stated before, their presentation is not as polished as mainstream retailers such as Home Depot or Sheridan Nurseries. Furthermore, their prices are noticeably higher than mainstream retailers, so if you're looking for popular items (eg boxwoods or cedars), your local big box garden centre will have better prices and be more conveniently located (though contractors likely get a trade discount here). Finally, they work contractor hours" (7am-4pm weekdays and Saturday)

Angelo's is a great place. The main office staff are friendly, and the greenhouse staff are knowledgeable about the plants they oversee. The prices for building materials and aggregates (soils, gravels, etc.) are competitive once you factor in their very low delivery fee for the surrounding area. As for the plants, keep in mind that, like Sheridan, Angelo's is a dedicated nursery. Yes, they are obviously more expensive than Home Depot, Lowe's, and Walmart, but the plants at Angelo's are often significantly better -- properly watered and maintained, bigger and with more blooms, and in overall better health. The shrubs and trees are also guaranteed for one year.My service and experience at Angelo's has always been a good one, and I always bring my clients to it. The property is beautiful, and you could practically picnic in the gardens. It's a wonderful place to even just roam around in, and buy whatever catches your eye.

I have waited for a while before leaving this review to see if I am still upset. Back in April I had some work done in my backyard. I have ordered 2 cubes of soil and a tree for delivery. Everything was great till we realized that we need more soil (one cube, maybe a bit more). So, I called to place an order for 2 more cubes for delivery. The pushy lady that answered the phone said that I am out of luck and I need to order minimum 3 cubes. I need only 1.5 so what am I supposed to do with extra soil? Delivery is not free, I am paying for delivery ($70 for 10 minute drive) no matter what I ordered. Bottom line - because of Angelo's my project wasn't finished and I had to start the project all over again (call the contractors back, wait for them to be available, pay them again, take time off my work, ALL OF IT...!) Don't let Angelo's ruin your project, call any other garden center in GTA.

Best one in GTA, great selection and huge site. I always find something to buy here. I hope the the store would bring in more stone ornaments at different price points for affordability (but what they have in store are top quality). and I wonder around what month is the best time to come for Japanese maple trees?
