Boyd's Barbershop

Will NOT be returning. I asked for a low fade instead I became bald. And then I went home and cried since everyone of my friends laughed when I showed them what I asked for versus what I received. I’ve been to cleaner barbershops as well and this place isn’t worth the money. If you book online BEWARE they are ripping you off with their tipping 20% is actually more like 25% etc. I called and expressed my disappointment and was told next one was on the person who cut my hair and was asked to come in to get it fixed; can’t fix hair when I don’t have any left. Honestly I would have rather gotten my money back. I wore a hat for my first day at my new job since my haircut looked terrible. It’s really a hit or miss but for the price they are charging especially online it is not worth it at all. Barber was nice but will not be giving them my business anymore. Photos are right after I got the cut.Response to owner: I very well am writing the review for the proper place. I would never leave my real name on some online booking website if possible. I have the receipt to prove it. Perhaps you need to have a proper protocol when someone complains since I did not speak to the owner or whomever takes the complaints. Either way the online booking system scams you into tipping more then what it says. To anyone using it do the math and you’ll see.

Went to book a haircut online, and found that you're required to tip *in advance of the haircut*, and their default tipping options begin at 20%. Stop the insanity.

Boyd's has been my shop of choice for the last six months worth of monthly visits. Don is an excellent and highly efficient barber. I get the exact cut I want and am in and out in less than 20 minutes. Great price and great service! Highly recommended.

Always pleasant, accommodating & friendly. The shop itself is clean & they do a great job with my 7 year old son.

My favourite place to get my hair cut, the prices are fair (they were a STEAL before the pandemic but they've gone up a bit), I never get any weird looks for being a girl, and they always cut it the exact length I ask, not too long. They know how to give a flattering cut. Their cuts are very fast, easy to get in and out quickly.

Been going here for a while now. Booking apt online is easy and straightforward. Staff are friendly, dons sarcastic humour always make me laugh. Prices are reasonable too. walk ins can be a little bit of a wait so it's best to book online. Haircuts always turn out great.

Straightforward, good quality, great appointment system. When a place has been open as long as Boyd’s, you’re bound to get a bunch of divas leaving horrible reviews. Ignore them all, you’ll get a great reliable and reasonable cut here. Have recommended the place to several of my friends (late 20s, early 30s) and they’re all regulars now.

Definitely wouldn't recommend this place, I came in last week for a buzz cut and beard trim, showed a reference picture and the guy said he understood me. Not only did he mess up my haircut , instead now it looks like i have a mountain for a head with the sides shaved off like a trekking trail. Also, I asked Dan to make my beard look a bit more even, but the guy went out for.a smoke break halfway through and chopped the rest of my beard off hastily, making me look even more like an egg now. When I came back home post the long awaited grooming session, my kids laughed at me and gave me a time-out. Also, I definitely wouldn't recommend the place, he charged me $50+ for the entire package. Also the diarrhoea i've had since my visit isn't really fun. Make sure to not eat butter chicken before coming here for a haircut.Thank you,Best Regards,MD Shabeed
