Everything was flavourful and cooked perfectly! Ginger beef was the best I've found in Calgary so far. The lunch special is a great value deal and lets you experiment with a couple dishes. It included: Ginger Beef, Sweet and Sour Pork, Fried Rice and a Wonton Soup for $16!

We came to celebrate my mother’s 91st birthday and the staff designed a delicious dinner menu for our family that was reasonably priced. They used fresh seafood and made each dish with detail and care.The staff were kind, friendly and understanding even when the grandchildren were being noisy. We come to Emerald Garden often and their food quality and service is consistently great!

Unexpectedly decent Chinese food. I always drive by and don't even think about going inside but after a few recommendations from friends, decided to check it out for Dragon Boat Festival dinner with my family. Soy sauce chicken is probably the best in Calgary (needs to be pre ordered). The beef and veggies rice noodles were only so so but everything else was great.

Highly recommend trying this place. We've been getting take out from here over last couple of years, ts consistently really good. Tonight we dinned in, and it was the best chinese I've ever had. It was hot, and beyond fresh. Will definitely be going back to dine in.

After passing Emerald garden several times over the years we finally decided to stop in for dinner. Extremely impressed! A great take on Canadian Chinese with a good mix of traditional southern dishes. My partner and I ordered a curry fried rice, sweet and sour pork, salt and pepper squid, and a crispy chicken. I quite enjoyed the curry fried rice, the flavor was mild with a small touch of heat, the sweet and sour pork was surprisingly really good, the sauce was unique to other restaurants just the right amount of sweet with that touch of sour, the crispy chicken was average, to be honest the crispy chicken is a tough dish to pull off and other then the one restaurant in Edmonton I have yet to find another restaurant that beats it, lastly the star of the dishes we ordered would be the salt and pepper seafood mix, I have to say it might be my be favorite spit in torn, especially with silver inn closing I have been on the hunt to find another place capable of delivering a similar squid, I'm happy to report that emerald garden comes close, definitely recommend you order this if you get the chance, also the unannounced appetizer of Ginseng soup was a welcome treat on a cold night and the traditional sweet potato dessert was a welcome treat. Definitely recommend a stop at this restaurant

I’m Asian and I’ve lived in both Hong Kong and Vancouver. The food here is delicious! I consider myself a sweet and sour pork chops connoisseur and they make the best here. Every dish we had was authentic and tasty. The prices are great too. We have enough leftovers for 2 more meals. The service was wonderful being a family-run business. I’m definitely making this place a regular for my family. 10/10!

I was lucky to go there a few times during my visit to Calgary This is one of the best Chinese restaurant in town. The food are very yummy and very affordable. The owners are friendly and the servers are helpful too. It was good for value as they serve complimentary soup and dessert with any order. The tables are quite spacious so it is recommended to go there for dinner gatherings.Recent Visit (Take Outs): We ordered some take outs for our family dinner and the packing and portion was good. No disappointment!

Excellent Chinese restaurant with tasty food. The sticky stuffed duck was really good, but it needed a day of pre-ordering. Going as a group is recommended as one can experience the different dishes they offer. The other must try dish was the crab steamed rice it was really flavorful. If you are into sweet and sour pork, it was executed well with right balance of sweetness and sour, along with crunchy meat, the way sweet and sour meant to be. The fried garlic and pepper eggplant (aka typhoon shelter style eggplant) is not something people know about but if you are into spicy good, give it a go.Parking is a concern at that restaurant so one needs to either go early (around 5pm) or go a bit later.

Great Cantonese cuisine with good flavours. There are a few order ahead items on the menu you must try like the soy sauce chicken and crab baked rice. Sweet and sour pork is executed nicely. Thin, light crisp battered pork bites sitting in the right amount of sauce. The complimentary dessert is a nice touch.
