Sending my dog with aggression to Lead Right Dog Training for a 2 week Board and Train is hands down the BEST decision I've ever made for my dog. Leaving your dog with pretty much strangers for 2 weeks is a little nerve wracking at first but I received frequent updates, photos and videos to show that my dog was being well cared for and so happy. My dog and I can now enjoy walks without fear of her aggression, and I can properly lead her and communicate with her in a way that makes us both feel safe and comfortable. Having used many trainers and many different methods, I can say that nothing has helped me as much as working with Dana and Leo has! Our whole family is beyond thankful for this experience!

Dana is a wonderful dog trainer. We came to her because our beautiful two year old malamute was ruling the roost. This breed is stubborn by nature and very powerful dogs. Our walks had become stressful. Bunnies, deer and other dogs proved to be too much of a temptation for our boy. Our arms, legs and backs paid the price. We hired Dana as she came highly recommended from another training centre. It was the best decision we made. Dana is a confident, knowledgeable and kind trainer. Our dog loved her immediately, even with the forced changes required in his behaviour. We were skeptics of the E collars but are now sold. Dana taught us how to use it effectively and even Tested it on ourselves! Dana also guided us in observing dog behaviour so we could understand And anticipate reactions. Walking our dog is a great experience now. We highly recommend her expertise.

We have nothing but amazing things to say about Leadright. Our 6 month old puppy was very energetic with no manners and with two small kids at home we were really struggling. Jennifer was amazing, Henry was with her for 2 weeks and we couldn't believe the difference. This program was the best thing we did for our family as well as our relationship with our new puppy. He is a happier puppy with more freedom and we are happier owners who get to really enjoy him. From start to finish this program was so well run and organized. They were very flexible as well, as we were coming from out of town. Jennifer has been available for any questions we may have after his stay also, which has really helped. I came to Lead Right Dog Training for leash reactivity/manners for my 4 year old Yorkie, Rudy. It was the BEST DECISION I have ever made for my dog. While out for a leash walk, as soon as Rudy had any sight of another dog, he would start lunging, barking and having a complete freak out. It got to the point going for a walk , was so stressful, as I was always looking out for any signs of other dogs, and Rudy would be panting and on alert the moment we walked out the door, it was not pleasant experience for either of us. After hiring three other trainers to help address this issue , lots of $$ and use of “high value” treats, I still was having the same problem, I was at a loss on what to do.I came across Lead Right Dog Training, and seeing they specialized in reactivity issues, and watching some of Dana’s videos on other reactive dogs and their transformation, I contacted Dana. After two private lessons with Jenn, and seeing progress, I decided to enroll Rudy into the 2 week Board and Train, and WOW what a difference!. We now have leash manners, he can walk calmly by other dogs, without freaking out. I now have a more confident dog and the right tools that work and know what to do if he ever does react. Lead Right Dog Training, has literally changed my and my dog’s life!!! . I can’t praise Dana enough and would highly recommend her and any member of her team, Dana you are amazing, Thank you!!

I would highly recommend working with Dana at Lead Right Dog Training. Our rescue dog had some leash aggression issues that made it downright embarrassing when we were out in public and encountered other dogs. I would never have dreamed we would be able to walk calmly off leash, or that we would be able to tackle some of the other reactive behaviour issues he had. Dana gave us the tools to work with our dog and we were able to create a trusting dynamic where he looks to us for instruction and we are the ones in control. Our family dynamic is happier, our dog is happier, and best of all, we can enjoy all the dog-friendly activities we once thought would be out of reach. Thank you Dana!

Dana is amazing! We adopted Max at ten months old. He was terrified of everything that moved! Our walks were not enjoyable, with him spinning and screaming at the end of the leash. We tried working on positive reinforcement methods with minimal results. Then we heard about Lead Right Dog Training and decided to give them a try. After a few lessons with Dana, Max was changed. Instead of reacting immediately to the environment, Max puts his attention on us now. Dana’s training has changed him into a thinking dog. We are so proud of him and can take him anywhere now! Our grandkids have noticed the transformation and are no longer afraid of him. We will keep up with Max’s training so he will continue to be a confident, calm dog. Dana is the most experience dog trainer in the Nanaimo area . Max- my GSD is the totally different dog now. I’m able to take him everywhere without worrying about him to be reactive to other dogs or people.If you want results call Dana. You want be disappointed.

My beautiful very friendly collie, Tommy was more than I could handle.I could not control him on the leash as he is so strong, and he had no recall. I was just feeling desperate when I discovered Dana and signed up for 3 lessons.After the first lesson, he changed completely. He now has respect for me, walks perfectly off leash, comes when called. In truth he is a different dog.He loves his training sessions and is learning so quickly.Dana really loves dogs, is so sensitive to their needs and really understands them. Dana has helped so much every step of the way since both of my dogs were puppies! We have overcome separation anxiety, learned really good recall, and trained both dogs to finally go to the bathroom outdoors in all seasons! I didn't think this could ever be possible! We are working on getting little dogs to do everything that a bigger well trained dog can do. Our second chihuahua has alot of anxiety and Dana has helped out with getting him to stop biting and helping him build more confidence so he doesn't react with fear responses.I can't recommend her enough from the minute you first get your new dog. Dana can also help train us owners how to be in charge and is so knowledgeable and experienced on everything to do with dog behavior. She is a true pack leader!
