A 12 year son asked if he could scuba dive. Months later we are in Key Largo doing the trip of a life time. Kanata Dive Supply was with us for the full journey to not only make the best trip ever for a 12-year old, but to start a new chapter for someone who now has confidence to follow his dreams. KDS is a great dive shop with experienced instructors. I’ve done my Open Water certification as well as my Advanced certification with the shop. Can’t recommend them enough! I’ve also taken a dive trip organized by Jeff and his team - one of the best trips I’ve ever been on. Looking forward to more diving this summer!

Needed some gear to prepare for trip to Mexico. They serviced my regs in record and they swapped out a broken compass with a working one they had in their tool box … for free ‘cause they could. Without that upfront pay-it-forward type of generosity, I may not have bought that wetsuit. Thank you Bill! No commission for you on compass sales but you should get double from the fins and wetsuit I bought instead!

From the moment I walked through the door here for the first time I was made to feel like I joined a new community!They are knowledgeable and will not try to sell you something you do not need.The service is great.I took my lessons through them and the instructors are amazing and patient!Give them a try!I hope to see you under the sea!!!

Thanks Kanata Diving SupplyLast May here in Oshawa I started a PADI IDC program to work toward a dream I have had for many years to become a PADI diving instructor. I was ready to work as hard as needed to fulfill this dream and was ready to do whatever was needed to pass all the requirements.A week into the program I was asked to leave due to a 50% in a physics exam which was just a pretest to the real test which would have been months away. I was told I could come back in August and after they took my money they basically closed the door.I was crushed, embarrassed, upset, hurt and was second guessing even working toward this goal. Before I had a chance to feel sorry for myself I had many friends and even a few people in the same position as this instructor that said I was not good enough tell me not to quit.I picked myself up and looked into a new location to do a new PADI IDC. I just completed that this weekend at Kanata Diving Supply and I not only passed everything I did extremely well. As the only student on the course coming into the PADI IDC as a non PADI diver I knew I had a huge challenge on my hands.My goal was not to get perfect but to work toward being the best instructor I could become and to be able to pass the IE (Instructor Exam). I guess I really got lucky with my second choice because Neil O’Hare and Kanata Diving Supply helped me do just that. Not only was the instructor a great teacher he was also a great leader.The students as well were all amazing and understood the challenge I had taken on and after they got a chance to know me they were amazing in helping me learn the PADI system. It was fast and furious and so many new things to learn but I was the sponge and tried to take in as much as possible.It was a 3.5 hour drive and it turned out to be worth every minute spent getting there. I want to thank the staff at Kanata Diving Supply for taking the chance on me and allowing me in on the PADI IDC at the last minute you and your staff has helped make this dream possible. Without the support from these people I would have never been able to do this.Kanata Diving Supply ROCKS!!!!!! I can’t tell you how honored I was to be taken in by this dive center. They are family there and it’s worth the drive especially something as important as the PADI IDC. I wish I was closer I would love to dive with them on a regular basis.THANKS Kanata!!!

Myself and my young son came in both looking for a mask and snorkel. The folks at this store took all the time needed to make sure we both got a snorkel and mask that fits us well and was comfortably in our budget. It’s been three days since we got our stuff and each day we’ve spent tons of time using what we got and it’s proven itself to be exactly what we need and want - a perfect fit for us. Based on the help we got and that it’s all turned out well after using it, we’ll definitely be making this the place we return whenever we need new equipment.

Recently started my diving training with KDS and found it a great experience. Great crew, welcoming and friendly and all were really good at making sure we were comfortable with the skills before moving on to the next. You could tell they wanted you to have a safe fun dive. Looking forward to my check out dive now!

I used Kanata Diving Supply for my open water course and the instructors were amazing! When I went down south I noticed how much better prepared I was than other divers who had trained elsewhere. I felt much more comfortable and confident and was able to enjoy my times much more. Would highly recommend!

I began diving with NAUI in 1990 and have been a customer of many shops... KDS is a great, full-service SCUBA shop. I found them in 2019. I had a lot of stuff to replace after a house fire. The front staff (Kayley and Charlotte at the time) compiled several cost sheets which helped me move my insurance claim forward. Jeff and his staff were very helpful with product advice and sourcing equipment. I participated in the advanced OW and Enriched Air training after that. Both courses were well organized and the instructors were friendly and knowledgeable. When new staff are brought in there is (naturally) a learning curve. I have ALWAYS found the staff welcoming and ready to consult Jeff or another source to fill a knowledge gap and answer my question(s) of the day.Update 1: I completed the Rescue Diver course in July 2022. The two instructors (Ginny & Dave) were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and dedicated as were the four additional DMs who supported the training and evaluation exercises. An awesome course!
