I am a technology teacher in a local school district, we had a need for foundation vents for a sustainable greenhouse project. I reached out to Lakeside for assistance. Brad Burns worked with his vendor to get us the materials we needed, and offered to deliver them to us. They went above and beyond my expectations of a company helping out. Thanks so much

I will never go back to Lakeside for my salt. We do a ton of commercial plowing and I've had such a terrible experience at Lakeside. They use to load our trucks after hours, but now we can only come during the 9 hour work day. They raised their prices without notifying us which now makes them the most expensive place in town that we know of. Also, dealing with their billing department is a massive headache. For example, I sent one of my trucks out there when we were in a pinch. We only were loaded with $100 of salt. My driver told them that I was out of town and would make payment when I get back. However, they still called my office everyday for 5 days for their payment. I don't recommend going to Lakeside.

Worked with this company a lot of the years. Never had a problem. I will continue to do business with lakeside.

I have been purchasing roofing, siding and decking materials for years from Lakeside. The materials are always high quality and the prices are great. We recently rented a roll off and once again the customer service was outstanding. I highly recommend this company!

I made the mistake of listening to Lakeside's recommendations for screw totals and lengths on steel. Needless to say, when the job was done, I had an extra bag of screws and two unnecessary rat guards. When I asked to return the screws the manager started yelling at me and said You agreed to what we recommended!" I guess since I listened to their recommendation it's all on me - even though there is nothing "special" about screws. To say I was treated poorly is an understatement.It seems as though this company is intentionally adding quantity to orders that cannot be returned. Convenient

We are adding an addition to our home and our GC went into Lakeside to get an estimate for our front entry door. Our GC and a Lakeside rep built what they felt I wanted together and my GC brought that 'draft' along with Lakesides vendor catalog and website to review. I liked what they built but used their website to build something closer to my vision. I went into Lakeside personally the next day and said I want what I had pictured on my phone. The same rep 'built' that for me but it was over $2,000 more expensive than what my GC had specked out. I spent almost 2 hours in store calling our GC, my husband, family to get insight on what door to order. When my GC finally realized the Lakeside rep was adding a factory finish to the door, that wasn't needed and wasn't on the one they had built together the day prior. After figuring this out, the rep said they built the door I wanted. They emailed me an estimate which I approved, assuming it was the door I asked for and spent hours building with Lakeside. The photo within that estimate was tiny and black and white, but looked like what I had asked to be built. The door arrived, and the Lakeside rep had simply ordered the original door he and my GC built together. He did NOT order the door I thought I had approved. He claimed because I approved the order, there was nothing to be done unless I wanted to pay another $1,300 on top of the $3,000+ we'd already spent for a replacement door. He tried to blame the fact that I 'himmed and hawed' over factory finishes for the mistake, saying I messed with the order. This is patently false, as once I realized HE had tried to upsell me on a factory finish I didn't need, I had asked for my door to built as pictured from my phone, from what I built from their vendor website. This company should absolutely NOT offer custom doors that are thousands of dollars, if their representatives are not capable of ordering the correct doors clients ask for. To claim that a client should understand an estimate with over 50 line items to configure, with a TINY black and white photo is unfair and we feel completely robbed.

We went in for two different items and Lakeside recommended a quantity that ended up being far greater than we needed - on both. When we went back to return the excess quantity, we were told they were special order items, and acknowledged they recommended the amount, but because we bought it, it was on us. Once is a mistake; twice - and an admittance of guilt - means it looks like this is Lakeside's (unethical) business practice.

Last year we had the windows in our entire house replaced. The salesman at Lakeside that helped use with them was very helpful and knowledgeable about replaces. He also recommended a contractor to do the windows and we have been very satisfied with the results. The house has less drafts and the glass is not foggy at all. Thank you Lakeside for the wonderful job.
