OK Tire

Michelle’s customer service was amazing and very much appreciated for the start of our vacation! Winter tire could not be repaired and she contacted other companies as she understood we preferred to purchase winter tires. Winter tires in the size we required was not available in Canmore. We went with all season tires that OK Tire had in stock.Michelle made the wait enjoyable with conversation and lots of laughter!The business has very good energy with conversations and music happening in the work area. Enjoyed the couple hours as we waited for the tires to be installed!Thank you Michelle and co-workers.

Ok Tire is not my usual mechanic, but I brought my truck in for a simple inspection as my mechanic was backlogged a few weeks. I needed an inspection as I was switching insurance providers and my vehicle is a 2004. Yes it's older, but it's low kilometers and in great shape. I always maintain and repair as needed. I thought it would pass a simple inspection no problem. All the staff were great to deal with, I had no issues on that point. But when I returned to pick up the truck, they told me it failed inspection and needed over 3k in work done to pass. It had a small valve cover gasket leak, the steering rack was leaking and needed to be replaced and the tailpipe need to be replaced as I had removed about 12 of it after the rear axle for more ground clearance under the bumper (which is very common for anyone who takes their vehicles off-road). At that point I left Ok Tire

Would not recommend anyone to bring your vehicle here. Dishonest and incompetent technicians". Expect to bring your vehicle back numerous times for the same issue. The customer service is below average

Worst experience i have ever had not just with service of my car but with customer service experience as well. If you charged me for something that needed to be fixed and if its not fixed and you wanted to reach out to ask for it. Then good luck if they listen to you and care about customers. Moreover that’s not their problem its your problem because you choose them to fix you car at first place.

I discovered that a different shop (in Calgary) had installed two of my winter tires backwards, such that they rotate the wrong way. OK tire in Canmore was able to quickly sort it out for me on a drop-in basis and inexpensively. Friendly and proficient too. I recommend them!

Had my summer tires on rims switched out to winter tires on rims. It was a parking lot job. Simple enough.Got the car back and the suspension creaked and squeaked like I’ve never experienced before. I took it back, they had a quick look and basically said your problem, not ours, if you want us to check your suspension make another appointment and we will look at it.So, not saying the don’t know what they are doing, but I think I’ll take my car elsewhere to have it checked out.Won’t be returning,

Certainly the worst auto shop in Canmore by mine and others experience.My vehicle was accepted for a tire change both over the phone and in-person by Michelle, only for the work to be refused hours later after I’d dropped off the vehicle.Apparently, they don’t change “new tires” bought elsewhere. They want to stick it to the Canadian tires of the world according to Ashley’s rant. It’s an important policy for them but not enough to clarify over the phone or before accepting the work!This is also the second time this has happened. Months ago, my partner experienced the same issue as they refused to change the tires since they were winters worn to the point of being more like all-seasons - so she was told to keep driving them? Utterly ridiculous.You wouldn’t expect to run into so much trouble getting tires changed at a location the seemingly specializes in it!

Brutal service. Here is my story... I had my winter tires on the truck... the winters are done and one won't hold air pressure. I already had a set of new summers, and summer rims. I talked to the office twice. I asked if they could put the new tires on my rims, and on the truck... they said to drop the vehicle off over night. That's what I did... only to be told the next morning that they would not do the work. Because... I didn't buy the tires from them... I am curious as to what OK Tires definition of 'service' is.

Very dissapointed. After replacing the battery they parked the car with the door not closed properly. Arrived to find the battery nearly fully drained and struggled to get the car to start. As a bonus, the car was entombed in snow from the road being plowed (probably more of a Town of Canmore issue, but I'm sure OK Tire is aware that the place they parked the car is vulnerable to this). Really nice after car troubles and a big bill.

Great experience this week at OK Tire. The employees were super friendly. Thanks to Michelle for answering all my questions and making sure I could get into service on the same day. I had a staple in my tire, they took the time to explain to me why it couldn't be patched. Wish I knew the mechanics' names that helped me out! Quick tire delivery and no drama. Everyone looks to be hustling! Coffee in the waiting room and a nice plug to charge your phone :)
