Used to go here since quit bad habits haven't been in awhile but last time I went had fun. They have live bands, dance floor, DJs, slots restaurant and rooms to rent if have one 2 many and can't drive home. Service was good bartender friendly and prices were reasonable. Renovated too. Needs better bathrooms with door that closed to the bar.

Stopped for a beer, left with crabs...kinda sums up the clientele of the bar. Overall, it is kind of like stepping into a time machine. At one time you know it was modern and likely the star of the town, but like most of the area, those days have passed. It's difficult to feel comfortable leaving your vehicle parked outside while drug deals and addicts fill the alley and panhandlers and people sitting on the sidewalks abound.

The owners would give you the shirt off their back and always do their best to make me feel welcome! When I want to rock the mitchell with the juke or a live band, this is the best place in this place to hear live music, and do your rock n roll duty, just as the Mitchell advises! Great rock and country and offsale prices too! Great restaurant, dance floor, old country juke, and classic rock!

I sat down at the VLT's and ordered some drinks. I then start playing and losing my luck at Keno. When playing other games I started to lose a little bit of my game hands and money so I immediately stop playing right there and quit for the day. I started looking at everybody's eyes and skin. If your eyes and skin turned yellow you have to do what is right to keep everybody safe by quarantine yourself and wait for your turn for treatment. . then call it a good game and good eveing. Thank-You ! April 24th, 2023.

The rooms here are not that bad !I've been in places that charged, more and are way grungyier then here !However you will get the music from the bar until around 2am, no guest allowed up into the rooms, unless they are registered guest .Located right in the downtown area. Access to all your shopping needs.

I waited a little over a year to review this motel for fear that they may find me. I was shocked to find a place so reminiscent of Innsmouth so far from the sea.The Arrival; We rolled into North Battleford on a late summer night. On first look it seemed to be a rundown town, something that once was in the 1950's but has seen ill repair since. The streets first appeared to be empty but shadows lumbered through the back alleys of a mostly industrial area with the occasional yelling and glass shattering sound in the distance. The building next to the Beaver was the marked city planning and development, one window was boarded. We could see though the only uncovered window that the roof had caved in on itself. As we parked in the ‘lot’ next to the beaver we were forced to strategically maneuver the car to avoid bottoming out on the potholes. The Motel; The smell was that of old mold and dust. It reminded me of the smell you would get from a summer home that hasn’t been visited in a season or two. The first thing I noticed was that there was an elevator to the right. It actually had light bulbs and hard brown plastic buttons as controls, I know this may sound like the normal elevator controls but revert back to my reference to the 1950’s.The Beaver seemed to be empty but we waited at the front counter and an older man with broken English made himself known from the back room. We exchanged pleasantries with a smile that would not be broke from his face. Handed us a key attached to the old diamond shaped plastic with the room number on it. We went to the room but the key didn’t seem to fit, we had to go back…He appologiesed profusely for the mistake (but the key tag indicated the correct room number) and personally escorted us to our room located directly above the lobby. The Room;(I would like to now ask you to go onto google street view, you can direct yourself into the parking lot next to the Beaver Motel, look at the back of the motel, you will see windows behind the A/C units on the roof on the second floor. That was our room, as you can see to the left, it is isolated from the rest of the motel by a small hallway that leads to the roof)The room was droll, dank and quite depressing. By this point it was not lost on us that this town was exceedingly Lovecraftian. I went to the washroom to shower…..I didn’t shower. The beds were from the 70’s It still had the manufacture date on it… they creaked. We both value our organs and our lives. We pushed the furniture provided in the room in front of the door but still feared that we were being watched through the wall via the strange hallway cutting us off from the motel. The Next Day;After a restless night we made for the car…the town looked different. It was as if it wasn’t the town we arrived in. I fear for my sanity.3 stars for the memories that I may have never had.

Room was booked here but I didn't end up staying. I drove by and it looked dated but I decided to give it a chance. I phoned because I did not see any parking stalls available as all hotel parking was labeled as royal Bank parking. I was told this was hotel parking by the pleasant Asian man who answered the phone. Entering the hotel to get room keys and the hair on the back of my neck stood up. Something told me I shouldn't stay there. It felt like a stepped into a time warp. Very dated look on the inside. I went into the lounge as there was no one at the front desk and the clientele looked less than desirable. My room was booked through Expedia and once I found the gentleman who I spoke to on the phone I was informed they did not charge the credit card they don't do that. My boss payed for the room so I gave him a call to confirm this and also told him that I'd like to leave with all my body parts. We decided that it would be best to book somewhere else. I went back in and informed the pleasant man we were Cancelling and his mood changed, he said he's charging the room either way to which I said I thought you guys didn't do that..... I ended up just telling him to do what he needs to do and left. Don't stay here. I think I saw sign that had a price list for crabs and bedbugs lol
