Stale food and not good in taste. Naan was so chubby and thick it seems they are selling ready made naan. I don’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

They really need to stop asking for tips/ gratuity when I come in person or call, then order a takeout. Your establishment sells food. The price on the menu should cover that. There is no service involved, so stop asking for tips on takeout orders.P.S. food is excellent.

They have variety of North Indian cuisines. Their tandoori chicken is a must have. We also tried shahi kofta and garlic naan and both were awesome. Paneer tikka was little bit dry. Overall it's nice Indian restaurant with good ambience and moderate service. A little bit pricier than the competition but still worth because of the amazing taste.

Service was exceptional. The first question from the waitress was, “Why are you here?” Lol. We didn’t even bother to order after the service we got. End of the day, the Empress Of India is for passers-by to wash their hands or use the washroom. I feel so SORRY for writing this review since it may affect your business, but do check with the employees and train them on minimum courtesy with service ethics or change the team altogether. (Not mentioning the date since it may affect the employees).

Recently, I was craving Indian food which is why I ordered lunch from Empress of India at 34 King Street S, Waterloo, ON, N2J 2X5. Located in Uptown Waterloo, this restaurant is known for its authentic Indian and Indo-Chinese dishes!Let’s get on with what I ordered! I ordered a plate of Chaat Papri and a bowl of Rasmalai. With a delicious combination of yoghurt, mint chutney, and tamarind chutney topping up the crisps and chickpeas, the Chaat Papri was full of flavour and delight! The Rasmalai was simply an addition to the perfection with the aromatic saffron and delicious pistachios bringing an end to the lunch! The food was vary good. I've now tried several of their dishes and everything was vary nicely made and presented. My absolute favorite has to be the lamb korma! Unfortunately I didn't take a pic of that but these are 2 other dishes we had ordered and they were great as well.The staff were friendly but the issue I found was the service was vary slow, starting from just being noticed for seating. I've been twice now, once when it was much quieter and again when it was more busy and neither situation changed the speed to which the service was given.

Tried Indian food first time in waterloo. Got more than expected. Ease spicy. Their presentation is good. The gave us breads with every curry as a complimentary. Their chilly chicken is must recommended.

A great place for Indian cuisine! Definitely come with friends as the portions are huge and definitely filling!There are lots of options to choose from. We got the vegetable samosa, royal butter chicken, Shahi kofta, rasmalai, and Gulab jamun. They were all so good and so flavourful!The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and usually not that busy I find. The staff are also very friendly!

Best Restaurant for Indian food in whole GTA. go there and enjoy indian food with no compromise on quality and quantity. Lovely owner and staff. Don't forgot the Mango and Avocado shakes that go well with food.
