Found this place to be amazing. Good kind staff that acknowledges you when you come in. Waitresses and management very easy to talk to,kind and courteous. Food was out of this world. You get what you pay for that's for sure. Good spot to come with friends and family

Terrible service! Waited 5 minutes to be seated and then completely ignored for 20 minutes!!! Not a “we will be with you soon”, not an offer for a water…wouldn’t even make eye contact. Everyone else in the section was tended to and 3 parties that came in after us were served. The guests at the bar that came in after us even got food served before anyone even acknowledged we were there!!! We left and I told the server on the way out that we had been completely ignored for 20 minutes and she had nothing to say. Absolutely ridiculous and no excuse. No they were not busy… there 4-5 tables in our section and the the bartender who was serving customers other than us was cleaning glasses rather than acknowledging a paying customer.

Disappointing...we have been coming here occasionally for years. Last time was less than a month ago. First off, there was only one person who was working the door, the bar, serving and cash, so (not to her fault) service was slow. We ordered the Mow chos (Nachos) last time and enjoyed them enough to have them again today. Not the same at all! They arrived Luke warm with almost no cheese. The salsa was mostly corn with some black beans and tomato chunks. In the middle was about a quarter of a tub of sour cream, which made a lot of it very soggy. The price of this has also gone up by $4. When we complained, all that was said was would you like anything else to eat". I'm not in the habit of doubling down on bad value. I will not be going out of my way to come back again."

Nice location on the water. The beer was served fresh and cold. I had the hamburger which was okay but honestly would never return to have again. The meat patty just was not to my liking, just didn't taste fresh or handmade.Server was pleasant and attentive

We were celebrating a birthday and our area of the restaurant was full with our friends and family. The food was good. A number of us ordered the fish and chips special. Actually a good deal. One drawback was that the fries were overcooked. Some were virtually crisp and burned. I noted how many did not finish their fries. When servers see the amount not consumed there should be a communication to the kitchen from the servers to address this. I find that overcooked fries seem to be the norm.

Fast and friendly service with a new pub like menu and stone mill atmosphere. We were a group of nine seated in the back portion of the restaurant with a great view of the falls. A better view is available if you opt for the patio... a must do on a warmer day.Food portions were generous and all enjoyed their meals. Definitely will go back.Getting to the restaurant's parking lot was a bit tricky due to road construction activity... go through the single lane archway off Mill St. Watch for the Barley Mow sign hanging overhead.

The parking lot is a bit off the beaten path, keep following the signs, despite any urge that you might have to turn back. The staff were all welcoming and helpful, despite being understaffed. There is loads of seating inside, however, as it was a nice day we chose to sit on the patio. The patio is next to the water and has a really nice vibe. The food is pretty pub fare standard and nothing extraordinary but does the trick.

We were a party of four and sat on the patio next to the water. It's a beautiful spot on a hot summer day. Our server, Megan, was friendly and served us promptly with a smile. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time and both were delivered quickly. I had a Barley Burger which was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Others had Fish and Chips and Fish Tacos, again perfectly cooked, generous portions and tasty. We had read some negative reviews of the pub but we had nothing but praise for the friendly staff, great atmosphere and excellent food. We will be returning soon.

We sat outside, really enjoyed being so close to the water. The fish and chips were excellent, freshly made batter and fish tasted fresh. Fries were great, salad nice, and really liked the house tarter sauce. My sister had the BLT and also enjoyed.

We had the best time after Almonte Celtfest. All staff were extremely accommodating, and Megan made it possible for all musicians, family, and friends to hang out. We even played a few tunes. Great drink, food, and service. Get out for a bite and a sip when you can!
