Long phone times. Horrible service. Customer service hard to understand.

They didn't help much they just gave me a phone numbers to tryWill do it there way

Never had legal issues before this, I had two things I needed a lawyer for that were related. They told me my application was complete then a few days before court I called to check in because I still didn’t have a lawyer and nearly 3 months had gone by and I had to adjourn more than 3 times, they informed me that they could give me a lawyer but I would no longer qualify for a free lawyer since I didn’t apply for the two things separately (they never told me I needed two applications and said everything was done) and that I didn’t apply soon enough, despite me being an unemployed student living independently at the time and having already applied and the application was “complete”. Before them telling me this, I had called twice to update information and ask about when I would be getting a lawyer. It was never mentioned once.Once I got a lawyer for about 100$/hour (a lot cheaper than retaining a lawyer but still detrimental when unemployed). He was less than helpful, snappy, rude and condescending. Made me feel like I was bothering him whenever I contacted him during this.Worst experience, but better than nothing

I did not know that only people considered as low income family can get help here. I was not told by anyone when I called. The lawyer who attended my visit was very helpful, she redirected me to a good option.

Extremely difficult to navigate..seems purposely and if you have a legal problem with a government agency your on your own.. Canadians in scary places have nowhere to turn.......

Long wait times but worth the wait

Was not very helpful at all, would only help if jail term was possible

Legal Aid Alberta was so helpful to me. I had a short notice to my hearing but they were able to come through.
