The Kids Castle DayCare

Both my children are currently at Kids Castle; one in the infant program and one in the preschool program. I cannot say enough good things about this daycare, it’s staff, and it’s owners. Ellie has always been supportive and is very knowledgeable about child development. I often recommend Kids Castle to friends. My daughter will be very sad to be leaving in a month to attend Kindergarten.

I had two children attend Kids Castle. My experiences were very different for each child. My first child had a good time at this daycare and did well. While he was there staffing was consistent and of good quality. However, my second child’s experience was much different. My second child requires minimal extra supports which were not consistently provided. In addition, what seemed to be the daycare policy of only having the owner communicate with concerns rather than the actual caregivers did not allow for open and consistent communication. When I communicated concerns about the care my son was receiving it was often met with a complaint about my son. More recently they have been short staffed and my son was sent home more than once improperly dressed (inside out clothes, missing garments). While my first son had a fairly good experience, I could not recommend this daycare as you do not know what challenges your kids may face as they grow and they are not able to adapt to the needs of the child and don’t value being inclusive. In addition, staff retention and communication are severely lacking.Edits in response to owner:Please remove the information about my child below - it is unprofessional to include this information about my child on the internet. (Note: this information has been removed now. But the fact that I needed to request this is definitely an issue)Staffing was not just a COVID issue. Perhaps I should not have used the term short-staffed although that is the term you used to describe your staffing situation. Several times you described being ‘short staffed’. Ratio was maintained as it must be by law but turnover was high and it did not seem as if new staff were given adequate training and support.I am not going to address my sons specific case as to respect his privacy, except to say despite the owners reply, now I have moved my child to a new facility it highlights to me just how bad the communication was and how little was done to be an inclusive environment. Hindsight is 20/20 and now I am aware of the level of care available elsewhere.

My son attended Kids Castle from 1-5 years old and my younger daughter is there now. My number one criteria in choosing a daycare was that I wanted my kids to be loved, and I know that they are here. Ellie and Tom are incredibly kind, loving, hard-working people and their staff are as well. They promote kindness, caring and understanding amongst all the kids. We feel blessed to be part of this extended family.

Both of our children went/ go here and we absolutely adore everything about Kids Castle. The teachers are amazing! So nurturing and caring and the kids love them. Tom and Ellie (owners) are very involved and genuinely care about the kids and parents. We have met some amazing families here and consider Tom, Ellie, the teachers, and all the families we have met as part of our own. I would not hesitate to recommend this daycare to anyone who asks. My kids never want to leave, and ask to go to daycare on the weekends! Our eldest who is no longer there asks to visit all the time! We LOVE them!

Our children love Kids Castle! Great child care for the little ones ( under 2.5 yrs) and preschool program for older ones. Most importantly, teachers are very loving and caring. Big backyard for kids to run around in good weather. Very well organized and well run day care. Ellie and Tom always lets us know if they have any concerns about the kid's health condition or behavior which we appreciate very much.

Kids Castle is a wonderful daycare and provides excellent care for our two sons. We have never doubted that Ellie, Tom and the rest of the teachers love our children, and we now consider them all to be family as well. I would highly recommend Kids Castle for anyone who wants their child to attend a daycare with a loving, respectful and educational environment.

I'm a picky mom and I have visited at least 10 other daycares and I did not like any of them for different reasons such as, lack of natural lights, hopeless looking staff, too disciplined, not having a proper outdoor play area and so on. I loved The Kids Castle atmosphere the moment I arrived there for a tour and I was pretty sure that I want my two-year-old to start his social life in here after I talked with Ellie (the owner). It has been four months since my son has started going to K2 and my husband and I couldn’t be happier to have him in such a positive, supportive, and lovely environment. All the teachers in K2 are amazing and they take care of every single child in there as their own. I highly recommend this day care and I feel very lucky to be part of this lovely community.

My two kids have been attending Kids Castle DayCare for a number of months now, and I just can't say enough about this wonderful place. Ellie, Tom and their team are just SO caring. Ellie has so much knowledge about children's psychology and their interactions as well. Communication has always been clear, updates are regularly given and teachers are so quick to support our kids. I just really appreciate how much the staff try to empower and guide the kids in their learning and play time. The staff clearly work as a team and the camaraderie is apparent. Students and staff alike are all positive and engaged.In addition, I'm writing this nearly two months into the Covid-19 pandemic. The daycare has continued to go above and beyond expectations with daily circle times on Zoom, and Ellie & Tom did drop offs to the students at Easter just to say Hi" and show their care.When I was looking for a daycare for my children

the kids castle' s teachers are awesome, my son has learned so much from them in the time that he has been at the kids castle day care.my son has enjoyed every moment of it. the teachers are very patient , attentive. there is a big yard with some good facilities for our children to play and release their energy.Ellie and Tom have been always supportive and responsive, for example one time when i could not have arrived on time to pick up my son, they stayed with my son kindly till i arrived there. Ellie is a professional manager and her beliefs about discipline and guidance are developmentally appropriate. I highly recommend this place.

I love this daycare.My daughter went in an other daycare before and we didn’t like it, but I want to talk about kids Castle Daycare and Why I love it.First and more important of all, my daughter loves going there. After the first week when I was talking about daycare she was going in her carseat and showing me the door, like saying « let’s go ».I love the fact that one teacher is taking care of the kids, they really create a link with the kids, they know their habits and kids are happy to see them.The manager is really present, I don’t think she is present the full day obviously but enough to know our kids and enough to manage well teachers.This daycare is really caring about our kids, and I would recommend it to anyone.
