Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital Emergency Room

This is the worst ER we have ever been to. The staff members lack the basic respect and compassion for patients, even for a sick kid. It's also hard to believe that in the 21st century, a patient HAS to wait for the doctor's call to access the medical records. Even my 3-year-old daughter told me that she disliked the hospital and wanted to move. Such a pity that this is the only ER nearby.

I wish I could give them 0 starsme and my pregnent wife waited for 5 hours today with no doctor for check upand we were told it's not that busy and 2 patients ahead of us so we waited another 2 hours with no doctor.finally we left without getting checked by the doctor.never felt that helplessCanadian Healthcare is getting worsewhat's the point of emergency rooms when you are always waiting 6-7 hour and still don't know if you will get the treatment

Yeah I do not even want to be in A hospital ever I'm terrified of them they still insist to keep me hostage with no release after a week the nurse said I was acting A-typical like she literally called me crazy how mean I was forced to medicate I was irritated and these people all they did was laugh and smile shame on them this should be illegal who do not deserve to protected they act barbaric im extremely terrified although I'm happy

I came in at 815am and got out at 1030am. I was expecting to walk into a nightmare after reading the reviews on this place but was pleasently surprised. The people working there are very friendly and helpful and answered all my questions. Dr. Matthews was very kind and i couldnt thank her and the nurse who was with her enough. Thank you ❤️

I am choosing to leave this review anonymously as one can never be too careful with the staff and nurses who work here (they are nothing short of barbaric). During our six hour wait to see a doctor for extremely high blood pressure (190+/100+) with a suspected history of TIA, the nurses seemed offended by a mere two requests to re-check blood pressure to see if anything had changed (responding with, for example: I don't know if you can see

The waiting time is brutal. Too many nurses and just one doctor that left for more than one hour. Canadian healthcare can not be worst, some will say but it is free. We pay it through taxes that are insanely high for such bad health care.

Worse experience, we came at 7:30 in the evening and still here in the waiting zone. The time right now is 2:38am. More than 7 hours. No matter what’s the condition of patient they are just all into computers. Very rude, irresponsive and irresponsible nurses. Hospitals are known for care and proper treatment but this hospital is zero in all cases.

The white nurse at the triage let all white people before me going in easily and quickly but refuse to let me - an asian, register. she denied my urgent case and told me to go to walkin clinics instead because I have been experiencing pain for 3 weeks and it is not urgent from her view.

- The émergence room not crowded like other hospital- The staff very professional and nice- The nurses too kind and working hard- Night shift teams working hard and they doing their job in proper way- The x-ray guy, he was so nice and helpful- Dr. Ahmed Al-Den who run emergency room as physician / emergency medicine was explained everything to my mum and did the best of diagnosis the situation for my mum- The nurse was very nice and help a lot and provide my mum warm blankets every time we asked

I think I broke the record - was waiting for 15 hours! I’m 8 months pregnant diagnosed with leg thrombosis. I’ve been told by three different doctors that if I have any difficulties breathing or skipping heart beat I should come in immediately because it can cause death (pulmonary embolism).I was waiting 15 hours to hear my results! FIFTEEN HOURS! I did all of the scans and tests around 3am and we were waiting until 8am to hear the report from radiologist because there was no radiologist in that shift. 5 hours of just waiting for someone to take a look at my scans and forward them to emergency doctor to tell me my results. You can literally die if you come in a “wrong” time when they’re short staffed. I can’t even imagine how long were people waiting if it wasn’t life threatening. By the time you can go home, you feel more tired, exhausted and frustrated than when you came in.This emergency room is everything but emergency. Total joke.
