Canmore Downtown Hostel

One of the best Hostels I have ever been in my life. Came to Canmore for my 1 year working holiday visa. The first relations I actually formed here!The hostel is very clean and tidy. Very cozy, nicely furnished, great common area and mainly - the people. :)+ very friendly staff+ clean and tidy+ no noise or disturbance+ a little privacy as there are curtains on each bed+ less expensive in shoulder season (december-february/march)- cannot adjust the temperature in the room myself- payment for the laundry required (but its okay)? Options to go for less crowded rooms but more priceyGood place if you just arrived to town and are looking for scouting for your own accomodation.

Excellent location and very clean. The staff was friendly/helpful. They have bear spray for rent for $8 CAD/day, which is really helpful. When I stayed, there were a wide variety of other guests. Ages ranging anywhere from 20s to 60s, including families, and everyone was respectful and friendly. It is located in a shopping strip so there are a few restaurants and other shops walking distance. It is not far from the city center. Definitely not a party hostel, if that is what you are looking for. Beds are comfy and the lockers are very spacious - I was able to fit my carry-on luggage inside my locker. You have to bring your own lock, but they have some available for purchase. I would stay here again.

A clean, modern, safe, efficient, well-organized hostel in a new building. It offers rooms for families or groups of all sizes. They are super accommodating for any requests. The regular residents of the hostel and super quiet and respectful. We barely heard anyone anywhere in the place the 4 nights we stayed there. The bathrooms are super clean, with hot water and great showers. The kitchen has 3 sinks and 4 cook tops/stoves and 3 large fridges. The parking was free. And the views were spectacular. It's an easy drive the Sunshine or Lake Louise for skiing. Canmore offers shops and 2 grocery stores not too far from the hostel.

we are a family of 4, we stay in a private room, 2 single, one double. it was worth the money. you got all the necessary things that you need. Don't expect much as this is a hostel. but to be honest this is the best as you are only there to sleep. amenities is all there. convenient too, you have food, coffee, groceries, and even liquor downstairs shop.we stay during winter around march. it's not that cold. and it's quiet too.

As pretty much always the case for hostels worldwide, you will not only get the best prices but also the best service when you book directly, not through an OTA/3rd party platform (online travel agency like expedia or priceline or booking or airbnb). Perhaps you miss out on some miles" but it's just not worth booking third party for hostels on any continent.With this hostel

Really great hostel! It's very clean, staff is friendly, and the views are amazing. It's close to city centre and transit which makes it easy to get around. Also love how respectful the crowd was, it was relatively quiet and very safe. Mixed dorm rooms are pretty comfortable. And met some great people too!Really looking forward to visiting again :)

Huge dissapointment!I had made my reservation 9 days before my check-in date. However, just a few hours before my arrival to the Hostel, and certainly after my check-in time, I received an inbox in my Booking account from the Hostel saying that my credit card had been rejected and that my reservation was going to be canceled without a valid credit card. At the time I saw that text, I just had arrived to Calgary airport from Montreal, after a flight that was delayed for more than three hours. I desperately tried to communicate with the person at the reception to explain my situation, and the fact that I was getting on a car right to the Hostel. Also, I tried to change the credit card vinculated to the booking but I couldn't find how. I ask for assitance to the person at the hostel but instead I received an ultimatum saying that the reception would close in 30 minutes and my reservation wouldn't be mantained. Finally, when I got to the hostel at midnight, I found it closed. Again, I called the person in charge through the telephone in the hostel's door and again I was ignored. Next, I had the worst night ever during any vacacions of my life. I spent the night sitting in a chair in the lobby of the Hostel just because some girl had the kindness of letting me enter and go to the washroom. In the morning, I decided to find another place to stay and fourtunately I made it. But the staff of the Hostel didn't hesitate to let me sleeping in the street without any consideration about the issues I could had. A total lack of humanity. I have stayed in many different places and countries and never recieved such treatment. Don't to mention the tremendous inefficiency of notifiying the problem when I was already on air although my booking had been confirmed 9 days ago. The worst experience ever!

One of the best hostel experiences I've ever had. From cooperative front desk staff to the level of cleanliness to the location of the hostel, everything was just great about this place.

I've stayed in a LOT of hostels, and this is among the top. It's SO NEW, so clean, so modern. The kitchen is quite large with lots of burners and storage. The beds are high quality mattresses - and they actually put the fitted sheet on for you!! The people were nice and respectful of quiet hours in my experience. UNDERGROUND PARKING! Need I say more?It's a cool space, not the biggest, and no extras" like breakfast (or even free coffee/tea)
