H&R Block

The lady that helped me was very friendly and professional. When I arrived she had to deal with a very hostile man who was extremely rude to her and somewhat abusive. She kept her composure and continued to search the system to help that individual when I'm sure most people would have kicked him out of the office (as he deserved to be). When it was my turn, she was able to do my taxes on the spot and quickly, which was great as I was on my break from work. I wish I could remember her name as she truly does deserve to be recognized for her service and professionalism.

A few years back my husband and I had an appointment booked for taxes. I was sick with one of the worst colds. Went to the appointment anyways. Didnt expect to be there for over 3 hours. The cold medicine wore off half way through. Been paying the last few years for the gentleman who did our taxes. It's not complicated to do our taxes, no kids, no school, no investments, no etc. The gentleman showed no sympathy for and taking the longest time to do the simplest things. My husband's taxes are fine but mine, I still paying for the effects of his carelessnes 2 years later.

They did their jobThey were quick,direct and to the point and when it was all done, took about 30 with me , I got a debit card with my return loaded on it so i didn't have to wait for anything so i give them anA+

Greeted warmly by staff and was very pleased with how the service went. Had a few years added up but it was Quick and Thorough, I definitely recommend this place. If you have lots of paper work they have to go through, bring a friend, there’s a McDonald’s across the parking lot and other stores to venture off to.Cheers

I went to get my taxes done here. I was thinking I was doing the right thing. The person that was filing them was Jennifer Whittaker. She assured me she was an expert at filing taxes and that I was in good hands. During that duration of getting my taxes done by her, she was on the phone flirting with her coworkers, running around the office, talking about her personal life and issues and was completely distracted. She ended up filing the taxes the wrong way, and when I received a letter from the CRA saying I owed over $6,000 from them because of H&R blocks careless mistake. I went back, and another worker there Andrew told me that yes it was in fact H&R blocks fault for filing them incorrectly, and that if it was done the correct way this would have never happened. I even purchased the PEACE OF MIND when filing my taxes with Jennifer for this exact reason. But, now H&R block is sent me another letter saying it is not their fault for filing them incorrectly and the charge from CRA I have to pay because of their negligence. I feel this company is nothing but scam artists and I will never be going back or never recommending to ANYONE to get their taxes done at any H&R block location. I hope this reaches people so that they do not have to go through the same thing as me. I have always worked hard and done things the proper way. H&R block is the worst service I have ever paid for. Please people I am begging you to go somewhere else to your taxes. They put me in awful spot when it was there mistake. And peace of mind is fake. It does not give you peace of mind and they won’t do anything when something goes wrong.

Came in to get my return filed, Susan was incredibly helpful and even helped me file an adjustment for my previous year that I had messed up my self. Overall a great experience.

They forgot to submit my etax after I paid for my taxes. Had to call them to remind them.

Took 15 minutes to do my taxes, $300 dollar return. COST ME $200. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Very bad experience!They can't delete the return without deleting the payment which will require me to pay again for the new returnThey can't reset the returnOne option is to go through the whole return line by line from the beginning. This option doesn't work because I can't find the duplication issue with the different forms.Second option is to create another return for 2021, pay again. After submission to CRA, call for refund for the duplication payment for 2021 returns. The refund will take several days. At first, David said 3 to 5 business days. When repeated the time period, he said 'it will take several days, don't make things up yourself!!!!'I really don't like H&R Block.

My boyfriend who has Parkinson's Disease was told to go home and have a nap by staff. When I attempted to contact a supervisor/manager, the phone was disconnected. Thinking it was a mistake, I called back. It happened again. And again. Staff need to be educated on professionalism in the workplace. When you train for a few weeks to have a job for a couple of months, the quality is reflected. Disgusting staff team.
