Dont go here. Misdiagnosed my problem. Fixed other things I didn't ask for. Sent home with a big bill and more problems than when I started. Once they had my money, and I had to tow my car back to them, the power went out" so they couldn't look at my car. The next week the shop went on holiday.2023 updateI hate you so much Kon. My car has been going here forever and probably only continues to run today because of how good Kon is at his job. Good prices, he doesn't try to rip you off, and he knows what he is doing. Very much an old school mechanics shop though, don't expect it look like the dealership auto shop haha.

We've had our Subaru for 12 years and have ONLY brought it to Kon, same as the original owner. I've done tons of work on my own project cars, including engine swaps and custom work, but trust my family's daily driver to Kon. Too honest for his own good! I wish he had a shop twice the size so he could have twice the staff, only because I want him to reap the rewards of being awesome.

Very fast and tried cheaper fixes first to save me money on my old beater Subaru :)

I tried Kons for the first time. I made a detailed list of the items I wanted done. Front brakes and the window washer reservoir replaced. As well as a check of items Volvo recomends at my kilometers. Kons went ahead and changed my oil and filter even though there was a sticker in the window saying my next oil change was 5,000 km away. The window washer reservoir was not changed and he said it was the pump and he didn't have time to fix that. I'm not a mechanic but I can fill a reservoir and see it drain out on the street. So reservoir not pump.... I called the day before the service to confirm he had the parts. So $855.00 later and I received an oil change I didn't need and my window washer still is broken..... Are there any honest mechanics out there?

This garage is great, particularly if you have an older car that you need to keep going, but don’t have piles of money to put into it. Always keeps everything working and safe, but let’s you know the things that aren’t an emergency to fix.

As a woman finding a mechanic that will treat me fairly was looking impossible until I found Kon Auto on yelp about 10 years ago.Kon and his son & team are far and away the best - and I mean the BEST mechanics in Vancouver. He typically services Subaru & Volvo. I use him exclusively and have only bought Subaru cars since finding him. I trust him 200%.Often he will do a quick fix on the spot, arrange for 2nd hand parts if able. Kon Auto gives honest, reliable & excellent service.If you want to know you will be treated fairly, go to Kon. Amazing guy !

We had our brakes done here with our 2006 Honda Odyssey. Our neighbor whose a AC mechanic recommended him. They known each other for 20 years. Honest man. My husband said Kon had a honest price we got a quote Friday then decided to go with him on Monday. Brought in got it fixed by afternoon we picked up. Keep in mind he's old school his reception area is very messy but he does his best to do without receptionist. His 1st language is Cantonese but he speaks other languages other than English with a thick accent. Sometimes you just need to repeat to clarify.

Kon is great! I met him yesterday as I was in a jam and needed BCCA to tow my Volvo to a mechanic. If you have a Volvo or Subaru Kon is the man to take your vehicle to. He specializes in those 2 makes. I’ve driven by his shop many times and have been searching for many years for a mechanic who happily answers the phone when a Volvo owner calls. Within 5 hours of receiving my vehicle he had it ready for me to pickup. His charges were very fair and very reasonable - I’m not used to driving away from a mechanics business with a huge smile on my face. I don’t want to visit Kon anytime soon, but when I need to, I know I will be confident that I won’t be taken advantage of or mislead. Please if you drive a VOLVO or SUBARU, take your vehicle to Kon when they need work! You will not be disappointed. Thank you Kon!!!
