The Village at St. Clair

Pre covid the reviews were 4+ stars. During covid if people could give a 0 they would. Sadly the staff shortages hit everyone. No business left unscathed. Including care. Cost of living in Windsor went up 200% while wages went up 2.5%. People are fed up. The ones who haven't quit are the most compassionate they can be with the energy they have. Management needs to stop looking at the bottom line $ and focus on care. In business some years you are lucky to break even.

I do not work there and do not have family there. They keep bringing in more people and the numbers from the pandemic continue or get higher. The staff are down to the core of thier nerves. But the management keeps asking for more people. At this point the government should step in both provincial and federal. A friend of the family works there they all need support but also a break at this point. I hope that some one does see this so they can figure out why this is continuing.

The staff is short because they fire employees for no good reason, the residents & family will miss the woman they just fired!!! HORRIBLE!!

Trust and believe I wouldn't leave my dog at this place!! Understaffed ALL THE TIME…. Which means less care is given period! And I mean less/nothing. the new ones working are severely under trained!! Safety is only happening when staff thinks someone's watching the older staff care for patients how ever they see fit!!! the lazy short way!! One wipe in front and a half in the back ! It's gross!! Trust and believe I would fire them all and give this location a negative star if I could.So the village replied to my review and said if I like I could bring issues to leadership team…. And my response is leader ship!? you have to be kidding! everyone that is reading this you can read the 7 to 25 other responses underneath mine that will confirm St Clair villages truth.

I just visited my aunt and am so happy to see how engaging the facility is. She does activities and gets involved! What a great place!!

Wonderful place , friendly staff, excellent atmosphere, other reviews questionable.

The management here are bad especially Tammy the general manager is horrible human being. She's a evil and she don't care about the residents. The resident family members go and complain about neglecting bad care and she doesn't do anything about it. She don't care about the residents.

My grandmother was suppose to be placed here and the home wouldn't even let her in from the hospital. They think she is a threat, when she not. They lied to us saying that they will keep her room for 5 days the give it away if she didn't come in time. Now they tell hospital they gave her room away and don't want her.Now they arnt answering phones bcuz they lied.

My mom recently moved into long term care here. It was a tough transition for her and for our family. After reading all of these poor reviews, I was super worried that we had made the wrong choice... do NOT believe everything you read. The staff is so kind, understanding, patient, hard working, and so much more. I honestly cannot say enough good things about them. I am so thankful for them and everything they do for my mom, who suffers from dementia. I know that when I leave i can rest assured that she's being cared for all day long.

management discriminates against employees with disabilities. I would not consider this a home for anyone. 2.6 rating says it all
