The View Oceanside Grill
We really enjoyed our meal here. The tuna appetizer was a great start for the Salmon Oscar and Dungeness Crab. Good drinks too!

The View Oceanside Grill
Thank you to The View Oceanside Grill for making my dad's 90 birthday party such a wonderful experience for him, our family and I. We went for lunch and were happy to see both breakfast and lunch items on the menu. The creativity and variety of choices were amazing. Our party selected different items on the menu. Each of us enjoyed our meals. All the meal portions were generous, very reasonably priced and arrived together for our party of 9. It was a Disneyland of the culinary in terms of the presentation and different elements/favours with each delicious bite. I had the Chorizo Hash Bowl (picture included).The owner and staff went the extra mile to make my Dad and his 90th birthday celebration feel really special. Again thank you for the excellent service and meals. We will definitely be coming back!

The View Oceanside Grill
One of our companions ordered ravioli and cod and 5 minutes later our waitress says they are sold out. She then tries another order, no luck. Finally hits it with the Mac and cheese seafood. Our waitress was only there a week and was doing her best. We ordered the seafood flambè and some of it was cold. The views are great and the restaurant is clean. Prices are reasonable.

The View Oceanside Grill
We tried the View Oceanside and it was simply beyond expectations. The food was excellent and beautifully plated. We started with the mussels and clams followed by sesame crusted tuna tataki for myself and seafood mac and cheese for my daughter. Every dish was tasty and the portions were pretty big so, bring your appetite! Our server Shanelle was friendly and very professional. It was a great experience!

Food was top notch. Had great seafood that you expect in a Oceanside island restaurant. Service was great and knowledgeable and although it looks very upscale, it is also very casual and accepting. We loved it!

The View Oceanside Grill
Service was great and prompt, with the friendly staff. Food however was a bit inconsistent, with either overcooked seafood or with seasoning. One thing to note was how the garnish were tasty, such as the kale salad...I was reminiscent of how it reminded me of those prepared kale salads that you can buy in the prepared salad section of the grocery store. We also had the lingcod and salmon. Lingcod was borderline overcooked, with the prosciutto wrapped around saving it. However, the salmon was wildly overcooked. The server was quick in remediating the issue, but when the salmon came back...it was now undercooked. However, I would rather have undercooked than overcooked, so I just continued to eat. The seafood in the Oscar sauce was also over-reduced w/ seafood slightly overcooked as well. If anything, the calamari were delicious and very well fried.Tldr: I was disappointed, but the service was amazing. Thanks to the front staff. So much for #1 seafood restaurant in Nanaimo"."

The food was amazing. The service was a bit underwhelming. Our server Steph was fantastic but I feel like she was bit swamped. It took about 15 mins to get my first cocktail but after that they were prompt. I would definitely recommend the View to a seafood lover.We enjoyed the lobster and crab platter!

The food here is absolutely divine and are fairly large portions at very reasonable prices. The Beef Tenderloin Schnitzel I was hesitant about ordering but seriously, it works! The Mahi Mahi was tender and flaky while the prawns came bubbling with cheese and garlic oil. Will surely return!

The View Oceanside Grill
Our server was very sweet! The food was delicious, we ordered the bread to start. I ordered the fish Oscar and my partner got the schnitzel. Lots of food left over which we ate later that evening. Thank you for having us :)
