Great staff and wonderful talent here. Always come in with my daughter and we're both treated very well. Today my daughter left feeling confidant and in love with her new cut. My hair looks fabulous too. The girl who washed my hair was even amazing.. came in with a migraine and after my hair wash and little head massage I felt so good!

I went to Total Beauty just to get my bangs cut and I specifically said I want thick, heavy bangs. I even showed a photo of what I wanted. Instead, I got the worst looking bangs ever! Even if I was drunk I wouldn't have cut my bangs this way. They look sparse and thinned out and there's spaces between the hair. Complete opposite of what I wanted. Rachel ruined my hair. Terrible!! I'm so disappointed for something so simple.

My appointment time was changed 4 times from the time I had orginally booked for. Had to wait 1 and a half hours from the time of my original appointment. Was told the hairstylist wouldn't be in till the next day but then I was told she was on her way in.The hairstylist serving me told me she didn't know how to match my root color and wanted me to wait for the other stylist to came in. That would have made it 1 1/2 hrs wait time just to get my hair dyed. Very disorganized. Very disappointed!

We love Sam! I’ve been going to this salon for a while and Sam always been very understanding to what I need to get done. I brought my whole family and he accommodated everyone, with different hair types and styles. Thank you Sam!

On a recommendation, I brought my teen daughter in for a haircut. She brought pictures of what she wanted. We left with her crying because it was too short - NOTHING like the pictures she showed. She cried in the car- I went back to speak to the stylist. She told me it was my fault for not staying with my daughter during the haircut and my daughter’s fault for not speaking up. I asked to speak to the owner/manager. She was not in. She’d be in later in the week. I went back twice. She was not in both days the staff told me she’d be in. Very disappointing and very poor service.

I was a client at Total Beauty today and the owner, Amy handled a situation very professionally and respectfully when someone was causing a scene and not following the provinces guidelines by refusing to wear their mask around all other clients and staff on a busy Saturday. Amy was nice enough to suggest that they come early morning or late evening to accommodate them and by no means was she discriminating as the person has stated in their review below. Thankyou Amy for always looking out for your clients and staff and making sure the store is safe and clean. I think everyone else that was in the store would say the same.

I come here for a quick hair treatment and blow-dry+flat iron and styling. It's never a disappointed. My hair is rare. It's a mix of everything. It's kinky, it's straight, soft, dry curly and wild + a whole of it all. For someone to be able to manage my hair and make me go from wild hair to slick and healthy, with exactly how I want it done, that's rare. If you want an honest opinion come here! If you want to just do what you want to do, might as well buy yourself a boxed hair dye and cut your own hair.

I have been coming to the salon for a few years. My first visit was an emergency hair colour correction after I tried to highlight my hair at home. The owner graciously fit me in and then did such an amazing job to fix the mess I made.The entire staff are welcoming, professional and talented.They have taken great care to protect everyone during Covid.I did experience a situation this past weekend where a person, not wearing a mask, freaked out at the owner and staff; even after they were given options to come in another time (earlier in the morning when there would be less clients).How accommodating is that?!!Myself and others were grateful that the mask mandate was enforced.Don't want to/can't wear a mask, fine...but don't negatively impact all the others that choose to follow the mask mandate/protect themselves; especially in a smaller space like the salon. Just chill out!

I had arguably the worst experience anyone could ever have in a hair salon. From the moment I sat down and showed the stylist Rachel what I wanted to do she expressed to me that she hated it and thought it was a terrible idea. I was VERY overcharged and did not get anything close to what I asked for. Upon reviewing my experience with a different stylist I learned that the techniques she used to do my hair were unsafe, impractical and extremely damaging. That said, even worse than my hair was the Rachel's conduct. She was beyond unprofessional. She made inappropriate comments and conducted herself in a way that was truly shocking. I did not feel like I was in good hands or that she knew what she was doing. I was genuinely scared for the outcome the entire time. Will never be going back.
