My cat adores the staff here! They take great care of my Cosmo. She had a wheeze and I got a cancellation appointment no problem. I can’t say enough great things about how wonderful this vet is!

Always the best care for your pet. Not an average vet looking to make a quick buck, but genuinely cares about your pets wellbeing.

I used to take my dog to Drs Wilson and Dr Laura, as she is affectionately called. When Tica was approximately 4 or 5 Wilson stated I should have her teeth cleaned ~ $800. I didn’t take her advice. Tica is almost 14 and has most of her teeth with little or no tartar. I use an electric tooth brush every day.Refusing to have Wilson involved again, I turned to Laura for her services. She seemed kind and considerate.Tica, a rescue maltipoo (or malti - terrier), has accompanied me to Europe 8xs ( across Canada 2xs and into Florida 1x.Whenever travelling internationally it is necessary to go through a thorough process involving vaccinations, time, and paper documentation. No one initially had a clue how to do it at the clinic. The one time Wilson attempted to do it she completely botched it up and it had to be completed by Dr. Hunter.Laura had difficulty doing it. The process is simply filling in blanks e.g, personal information on the dog ( age, etc. ), vac records, the vet’s own credentials, etc.Laura routinely had difficulty i.e. scratching out answers and placing them in the wrong places. I would have to take the documentation to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency following the completion of the papers for the secondary and final approval to allow Tica to travel. Invariably the inspector (Ministry Vet) would shake their head and have to correct papers by Laura.Of course I was charged quite the fee for Laura’s ‘services’.The last time with Laura involved filling out the papers again. The task is simply a repeat of previous time. She completely botched it.I don’t know this until the papers are reviewed by the Agency. The procedure is one where Tica is seen by the vet for vaccinations, and then seen again within 10 days of departure (papers) and then seen by the Agency. This was done within the last days before departure. Well, Laura screwed up the papers and could not be located. She had to correct the papers and then they had to be reviewed and approved by the Agency. I finally found her in the Smithville location within just hours to be at the airport. She charged me $300 for her services. When returning from Europe I blasted her and the office for such shoddy care and attention. I outlined the issues and stated my disappointment. I did not intend to ever return to this clinic again. I figured never to give them a dime again.I did not request my money back, but Laura returned all of it.The following year I was with Lock One in St. Catharines. Dr. Sam completed the papers (one time correctly) and didn’t charge me a cent. I tried ti give her money, but she refused. Sam outlined it was a simple matter of filling in blanks by a designated official vet. That’s my history with Drs. Wilson and Dr. Laura.Check out the reviews about Wilson and Laura on line. In my view, and apparently shared with others, they shouldn’t be practicing.

I have been going to Beamsville Animal Hospital for over 15 years now and the doctors and staff are fantastic. They always explain all my options and advise the best treatment for my dogs. Dr. Jen is an amazing surgeon who saved one dog's vision and another dog's life. My dogs love going there, and start dancing in the car as soon as we pull off the highway. I can't say enough great things about.

Horrible. Went with our cat three times to be told that he was going blind but otherwise was perfectly healthy and fine. Despite going back over a couple weeks and trying to advocate for our cat and to get more information, they would just tell us the same thing and refer us to see a specialist, despite the fact that he now wasn’t eating and was sleeping all day and looked frail. Finally the last time we went, we said we wanted blood work NOW and to not wait to see the specialist (which would have costed thousands of dollars). They said okay but only were compliant because he had lost 7 lbs since our last visit the week prior… Our cat died at home the next day. Was told we’d get a call about blood work within 24 hours. I called 72 hours later because they still hadn’t called. They had the blood work results but didn’t call us. Turns out he had FIV. When we first went to the hospital with him when we got him 7 years prior, we asked them to do blood work to check for everything. Guess they never did, otherwise it would’ve been caught sooner and although there was nothing we could have done, we would have at least been prepared and he could have been put to sleep rather than suffer for weeks on end because we had no idea what was happening. So basically we spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars to not get answers until he was already gone.Would NOT recommend this vet to anyone.
