Riverside Badminton & Tennis Club

It’s very annoying for newbies so don’t want to pay for a membership because you have to be a member to reserve a court. I understand why they do that but still very annoying. It would be nice to check out the place before committing to a membership. Yes there is drop in badminton (which would a a great opportunity) but when you have a group of 4 who want to check the place out before committing to a membership it not practical. 3/4 of my group isn’t from Saskatoon so it wouldn’t make any sense paying for a membership if they can’t use it.For someone who wants to play badminton with a group who isn’t a member, I would recommend going somewhere else.

Indoor courts can get very stuffy. Prices are only reasonable during slow hours on weekend evenings. Very strict about indoor shoes, you need to come in with two pairs to show that you are not bringing in any contamination from the outside world. I wouldn't go unless this was the only option.

If you are looking for quality badminton, I think that is the best place in City.

My old club, back in the day! And sadly it still needs a big city 'polish'. Fantastic location along the Sask river, beautiful city park, can we just upgrade this building pleeaasssee ?!

Very poor Covid precautions.No plexiglass for staff and no mandatory masks required upon entering the building to go to the courts. 1 door for entering and exiting the buildingBe careful if using this facility.

Great little court. Nice atmosphere. Right alongside our beautiful river. You can't go wrong. Theres a pool nearby so you can hear a bunch of happy kids as you sweat it out, playing. Overall, a really great place and I hope people give it a chance. Due to it's neighborhood, i think many avoid it. However, they're doing themselves a disservice doing so. Great tennis court in a beautiful park!

Facility is clean and the hardwood is easy on the knees. You can rent rackets and shuttles are provided.

Played badminton here for a couple of times. Overall experience was alright, the mixer/league nights are nicely organized, laminated wooden floor for the courts, but the lighting of the courts are very underpar and has minimal ventilation in the facility.Biggest gripe about this place... They charge $20 for dropping in (which is a big turn off for me). Compare to most badminton clubs in Vancouver and even Regina Crosscourt, drop-ins cost around $5-10 but courts are way better. Here in Riverside, they are charging a premium price here, but overall quality of the facility just does not justify the worth of it. Sadly to say, this will not be my go-to place for badminton in the city. I will only consider going there regularly if they ever renovate this place... It really is desperately needing the update lol.

Facility seemed nice but middle aged female reception was very rude and condescending when I was inquiring about services.
