Overall it was pretty good! The soup of the day was pickle potato which personally wasn't to my taste (not a huge fan of pickles, and it was sour). The BBQ sauce on the Meraner Schnitzel is unique and has a cinnamon-y taste to it.There is a dedicated parking lot on the East side of the building.

I'm not entirely sure how long this place has been around, but I am sure it should be a landmark! A terrific experience. We arrived early and had the place to ourselves. That was short lived. Filled up in no time. And I know why!The food was great. One of the best schnitzel I have had the pleasure of eating. Sausage soup was out of this world. So simple and so flavourful. Portions were really good too. U can't remember the beer I had, but it suited the meal so well!Atmosphere is really special. A number of smaller dining rooms that make the while experience intimate. Parking is plentiful too.When I am in the area I will definitely go back.

Came with a group of friends and made a reservation. Seated in the back area, the restaurant is very clean and had very friendly employees working. Ordered the Metro Schnitzel, with dill and potato soup, fries and red cabbage as sides. Portion sizes are great and the food was hot and delicious. Good value for the amount of food you get, will be going back again sometime!

We don't have many options for German food in Hamilton so finding Metro was a nice discovery. They have a great selection of schnitzel and the ones we tried tasted great.Tip: Try the spaetzle. It's very good.

Good food and excellent service. We went during the week and took advantage of the 50% off for the second plate (2 drinks order to qualify). I had a delicious mimosa and hubby beer of course. The schnitzel was divine! The mashed potatoes were a bit dry but that happenss with mashed potatoes. Hubby had the home fries and he asked for them to make them extra crispy and those were so good. The coleslaw was average.The broccoli soup was extremely tasty and I wish they would give more of it! I did not eat the garlic bread because I felt I would not have room for the schnitzel.Strongly recommend this resto!

Great food. I had schnitzel before and this is one of my favourites. The pigtail is new for me. Tasted like ribs and very tender, but I didn't expect it to have a lot of bone and very little meat. The pierogies were deep fried, which was also a first for me. Reminds me of deep fried ice cream since the inside was filled with cream cheese. The service was nice and very friendly. Would come again.

They say best veal since 1800 or something like that.. .anyways it's true. It was super good. Large portions. You get a soup and salad with your mains included! Lots to take home. Fries were good too. I got a milkshake and that was delicious. They have a large patio as well. And then after the dining room is this classic old timey bar. I'd come back. Grandparents loved it. I enjoyed it myself.
