Steel City Sauce Co

When the one sauce was featured on a season of the Hot Ones we were so surprised and excited to see it. We quickly looked up the sauce, the company and haven’t looked back yet. We love the sauces, have ordered each one and have so much pride for the selection and the great work behind it. So happy to find a local business that caters to our tastes (well for every palate, I’d hope folks are careful with the sauces higher up the scale, but the line-up / boxes are a great way to try all the different selections). I haven’t visited Steel City Sauce Co. in person but I’ve had an excellent experience ordering online and chatting with them via email. Their sauces are flavourful and delicious - my favourite is Meca Viper. I buy it regularly for myself and as gifts. It’s a hit with everyone who likes a little heat. Great customer service and quick communication. Thanks and keep it up!

Taste is subjective. A jalapeno at ~7,000 Scoville may be hot to one person, and not noticeable to another. I gravitate towards the minimum 300,000 sc with a preference for 1,000,000 + Steel City's reaper sauce hits the spot for me. It is the perfect combination of flavor and heat. I have purchased Steel City products in retail stores, and have made two online orders. Kevin is fantastic to deal with. Service is excellent and delivery is fast. A great tasting line of sauces with a flavour and level of heat that will appeal to most people including the fire eaters like me.

Great sauces of varying heat levels. Meco viper is my favorite though they all have a place at our dinner table. The Reaper sauce is definatly the hottest thing ive ever tasted.

Hot Ones verified sauce!!!!

I've bought all the Steel City Sauce Co.'s sauces and I've really liked them. I'd have given them 5 stars if not for the fact that there seems to be a problem with consistency in flavour with at least one of their sauces. I bought a bottle of The Reaper and really liked it. I put it in my eggs every day and it was pretty hot, but very distinctive in flavour and thickness. My second bottle of The Reaper seemed like a completely different sauce. It was thinner, the flavour was not as good and even the way the heat was felt on your palette felt completely different. I was disappointed because I figured I'd found a go to" sauce that tasted great and was local. Now I'm left wondering what the next bottle will taste like because I'm not really sure what the sauce is supposed to be."

Love the variety and flavours in Steel City's hot sauces. We've had a great time setting up our own Hot Ones for family and friends birthdays using Steel City's line up and every time, it's been a hit! Adding the famous Reaper to our line up for another round this weekend. Highly recommend a personal favourite, Badger Bite.

All the sauces are delicious! The Jade Jaguar is a personal favourite of mine, and love the addition of the seasoning salts!
