Very rude customer service and workers unhelpful. I called to get my property tax information they put me on hold for a long time. When they got answer me the lady worker who work in the property tax section was very rude. She gave me a number to call and when I wanted to read the number to confirm she ended the call. I contacted the office again to understand why she ended the call rudely and I left a message regarding this issue but unfortunately no one has got back to me yet. This is first time happened to me in Canada. This is insulted me and I hope some one explain to me here. Date happened on Wednesday 22nd, 2022

Very poor customer service experience. I Asked a simple question around property tax and was met with rude, passive aggressive responses. The woman I spoke to at 11:26am on June 29th, 2021 could definitely use some constructive feedback about her demeanor on the phone. Hopefully there is some quality assurance and plans for better performance for rude city employees like her, as she would be hard pressed to find a job in the private sector.

Extremely rude customer service, I had a simple inquiry about my 2021 Tax Statement, and the lady I spoke with at 8:50am on 7.24.21 , spoke to me with such a demeaning tone. I felt like speaking harshly back, but I held my tongue. I’m new to the township of Langley, and I’m disappointed.

This township is destroying a nature habitat because they would rather look at grass. And instead of being accountable for their actions, they are removing comments from their social media to try and hide it. Absolutely disgusting behaviour

If you are Owner Builder then do NOT submit your building permit application directly. My son made this mistake despite I advised him same and it has been almost 1yr he is still going back and forth with TOL. Find a contractor who who knows someone inside building department and submit your application through him! Otherwise, you are wasting your time ORSimplify just do not build anything in TOL. Any other city or town will issue you permits in less than 4-weeks and you can submit everything electronically. Over here they still want everything in papers and stamped.

It can take months even years to get your permits issues for buildings. you submit the permit file today and you don't get any communication until 8-10months. after 8-10months they want you to revise your plan which should have been done within first 2-weeks as after 8-9 months when you go back to your permit designer, structural engineer, wastewater engineer, stormwater engineer THEY DO NOT EVEN REMEMBER YOUR PROJECT AND GOOD LUCK MAKING REVISIONS. AND IF YOU GO ASK THEM THE ANSWER YOU GET THTAT YOUR DESIGN IS NOT BASED ON TOL STANDARD.......

Horrible customer service. Could not answer questions regarding bylaws for a new house being built. You literally have to know someone here who can help you or you’ll get no where and no one that works at this place is willing or cares to help with anything. Worst municipality I’ve ever dealt with. I feel for anyone building anything in Langley.

Phone directory is straight up broken. Entering options sometimes even prematurely disconnects the phone call. And oftentimes I'm told that my input was invalid though was.. definitely listed as a valid option. At the end of it, around the time where a customer service rep should be on the line, I get sent to some kind of ... inbox? of some kind? with the onyl other option to contact someone by name. So if I don't have a name, what am I supposed to do? Nothing makes sense.
